Yep. Maybe there's an element of increased expectation, as losing at home used to be a rare event- we've been spoilt over the years.
I don't enjoy Everton matches at the moment, even the villa/Newcastle wins were dull affairs. City/ chelsea (on tv) were better.
That saddens me greatly to write this about a club I've seen parade the league, on my dad's shoulders. The club I worked at for 5 years. The club I spent all week looking forward to seeing, as an extension of the fans, fighting for every ball, every decision..
This is also as someone who regularly goes the game. I take my dad, I don't go to meet mates, or bevy at the match, ect so it's not even a social thing for me- it's to see Everton be boss, and spend as much dad and lad time as possible, as I've seen loads of my mates lose their dad young. But we are absolutely horrid to watch despite this entertainers tag. Its infinitely more easy to disconnected from a garbage Everton performance if you ain't there and spending a good wedge on it (and sit amongst 38k feeling the same)
Fair enough mate - not doubting you at all and will improve either way. Don't lose heart..

Define world class.

I am an accountant and wish to be world class.
Best of the best, the go to man to run massive Russian oil, gas and metal companies for one of the richest and most ruthless businessmen in the world.

Let's be clear, Moshiri will be no mug, he'll make hard decisions at the drop of a hat, not fanny about like Bill has done for 25 years.

But are they really? Let's analyze our strongest starting 11:

Robles- OK there's room for improvement but a decent/average keeper
Baines- One of the best full backs in the world
Jags/Stones- England internationals, one of them touted to be the best English defender since Ferdinand
Coleman- A good right back, best in the prem attacking wise

Barry- seasoned veteran who still dictates the midfield
McCarthy- a bit over rated in my opinion but a decent midfielder
Barkley- touted to be one of the best midfielders since Gazza- really a unique player

Mirallas- brilliant player, ruined by Martinez
Rom- wanted by Bayern, Juve
Del- great player, seems to have gotten lazy and doesn't give a crap anymore

That to me is a top 5 squad on paper. That's not including Lennon, Besic, Mori and the youth coming up.
This has to be one of the most shockingly wrong posts I've ever read on this forum.

People forget that of the three managers Bill Kenwright has employed, he's sacked one, backed one, and the other is in office now.

Just because Moyes was given 11 years doesn't mean Martinez will be.

If people like statistics these days, he's sacked 33% of his managers lol
Yeah but he didn't appoint Walter Smith so he's never sacked any of the managers he's appointed!

And Liverpool would have to win the EL.

If City win CL and finish 5th or below and a non-English team win the EL, then England will have 5 teams in next season's CL
Think that's only top 3 and City though. The 5th place can only come from the EL and not the CL winners.
