Except Moyes would have done what he did with every striker he ever had...ruined them.

Which top strikers did he ruin? Bent Jelavic Anichebe McFadden had the best days of their careers here. I think Beattie might be the only one you have a case for. Yakubu was great before that horrible injury. The rest did not do anything after leaving Everton.

Beattie....AJ (better than Vardy BTW)....Jelavic in his second season when he found out what running the channels meant.

Maybe not the top echelon of strikers but no matter who Moyes would have had, he expected them to play a certain way and that way led to them burning out.

You did not just say that andy johnson was better than vardy. Say it ain't so. You were winding us up right?

“The first time we saw him was the first week of September and since then we have been very close, trying to find out about his character.

“He’s not back up for anyone,” said Martinez, who must check on the fitness of goalkeeper Tim Howard after he sustained a knock in training.

“He has his own ability, his own conditions and is someone who can stretch defenders.
Physically he can cope with the physicality of the Premier League straight away. He doesn’t need to adapt.

I should have stopped reading after this. At our best under Moyes Yakubu just strolled around putting in tap ins inside the 6 yard box. Was he running the channels? No because he had top quality that Moyes wanted to utilise. The rest didn't do they actually worked for the team. What you are seeing now is what happens when a side has no discipline and you pamper luxury players. You end up in bottom half for consecutive seasons.

Nope.

Let's see Vardy keep this up for a couple of years before comparing him to AJ.

When did Johnson do anything remotely close to what Vardy has let alone do it for a couple of seasons. Johnson had one decent season at Palace slotting a load of pens. Moyes was right to replace him with a far superior striker in Yakubu.

Here's another thing.

Our team with Arteta, Pienaar and Chill was vastly superior to the Leicester team of today,

I doubt anyone would argue with that.

So if we had a better striker than Vardy, i.e. AJ, we should have done better.

Oh FFS......is this conversation prophetic or what.

Vardy just this minute as I write this sent off for diving

Shades of AJ
