Here's the recording of my earlier call on 5 Live. Just a couple of things - it's extremely difficult to keep the conversation going in the direction you want rather than where they want to take it, and if you try to interject then they close down you microphone as happened this evening at one point.

Having said that, objective achieved, 8 minutes of talking about Martinez must go, Moyes being unsuitable and we should set our targets high helps get the message across.
Whilst the whole tone was one of utter pat-on-the-head patronisation, I think there was a valid point on the Koeman argument. Is he now ready to go into Barcelona et al? Do we need to think about a bright young thing, rather than an easily identifiable target from a list you could pull together in 10 seconds?

A great listen Esk, and kudos for not letting them get you riled.

Everyone's free to change their vote.
You can tell by the sporadic nature of this thread that many people don't visit it, the votes were cast a fair while ago, I'd put my bottom dollar that you wouldn't get this amount of votes again, I doubt you'd get 100 inside 7 days

A reset poll would be interesting to be honest. I'd hazard a guess you get nearer 90% in favour of change now.

It's very very hard to get excited by us at the minute. Moshiri would have seen the real apathy and discontent first hand now today and it's really getting a bit shambolic. The fans hate the manager. The players don't like the manager. They won't give their best efforts for him. The fans are turning up to protest against him. And now we have young kids being thrown into the mix in the middle of all this. They did very well of course today and that was encouraging. But it only further evidenced the fact that the senior first team players have completely lost faith in the boss and downed tools.

Gonna be a long old week.

Sorry mate, although I understand your view, to say "the fans hate the manager" and "the players don't like the manager" is simply just conjecture. Lots of Evertonians don't "hate" the manager but may want him replaced, and what real evidence is there that the players don't like the manager? Baines and his Chemistry rant doesn't constitute the whole playing squad being at odds with the boss. More statements like that and you'll get a job as a hack with one of the red tops.

Even if you forget it's the Daily Star (and let's be honest, you can't) it still doesn't seem entirely plausible.

It feels like we're being the bait club again, in the hope that Manchester United will be compelled to snap him up quickly.

Why wouldn't it be plausible?!we are not poor little Everton anymore

Doffs cap to you sir ;)
You came across very well when they allowed you to speak:rant:
Unfortunately the only thing that this has confirmed to me is that the media think of us as small time.....and of course that Fletch & Sav are cockwombles!!!
I was happy with evolution under Moshiri...now I'd love nothing more than him to go out and get us a top class manager, spunk loadsa money & get us back where we belong!!!
We're Everton FFS!!!

And what about the fans who will be out of pocket following a broken manager and a flat team who no longer play for him?

If it were simply a concern about being 'out of pocket' the grounds would be empty all across the football globe. Football is an expensive game to follow and there can only be one winner in each league....ergo there's lots of losers or also-rans.

If he doesn't get sacked before we play the RS then he'll get to the end of the season.

I worry that if we do win the cup (and I dearly hope we do) then he will stay for next season which I think would be a huge mistake. The cup can be a swansong for him and we can get on with appointing someone who can take us forward.

That Fletch character needs taking down a peg or two, I thought you handled him well, the arrogant buffoon.
