Its not all been rubbish though a lot has.

We are getting a bit hysterical. If we beat the RS and go on to beat Man U ( I admit it is an outide bet ) then I think we have an excellent chance to win the cup and that would make me give him a chance.

A few people are underestimating the boost a cup final would give us.
I'm not doubting we could do it, I'm saying that now wouldn't be enough, look at Liverpool, they decided to give Rodgers another window, whilst all of their fans were saying that the minute a few bad results came along he'd be under pressure, they backed him financially and look what happens we can't afford that.

So then he deserves credit for navigating an 'easy' cup run.

Giving him a modicum of credit doesn't invalidate the overwhelming criticism he's rightly getting.

It's okay to concede that reasonable point.

Im afraid we will have to agree to disagree

Here's the recording of my earlier call on 5 Live. Just a couple of things - it's extremely difficult to keep the conversation going in the direction you want rather than where they want to take it, and if you try to interject then they close down you microphone as happened this evening at one point.

Having said that, objective achieved, 8 minutes of talking about Martinez must go, Moyes being unsuitable and we should set our targets high helps get the message across.

A really good listen on two fronts

1. You represented the sane, reasonable and considered opinion of a disgruntled Evertonian to counteract the action of one idiot at Goodison this afternoon that regrettably will get far more media coverage tomorrow.

2. It stands to show us what we're up against. It's almost institutionalised in the English game how patronised we are. It's utter nonsense that they seemed to set up a is Everton bigger than Southampton debate in amongst that. The media focus has become so narrow that over a hundred years of football is summed up by looking at the last two years.

I don't think Rodgers was doing that badly and I don't think Klopp has them much better. I honestly don't. Just as inconsistent as ever.

wait, only watched the first half, whats this?
Some guy ran onto the pitch from the Lower Gladwys after Sunderland had equalised. He ran straight towards Martinez pointing at him and it was pretty clear he was telling him to go. He got tackled by 4/5 stewards and escorted from the pitch.

That's crazy man.

He actually punched a steward too - inexcusable.

I think you handled yourself with dignity and made some key points. Whether they deserved to hear them, is in my opinion debatable. The mouth with the microphone is an uneducated egotist, who had clearly made up his mind before you even came on. Personally I've never cared for dialogue on football matters outside of our supporters. If we get our own house in order, they'll be fawning to jump on a new bandwagon.

"Everton are a big club, but not a big, big, club" What bollocks is that? Was listening out for laughter on your end at such a dim-witted statement.
