I'm happy for Roberto Martinez to stay if we win this cup. For me this is huge and I think every Evertonian savours a cup win. You might not think it now but if we see Jagielka lifting that trophy aloft you will give Martinez time. This season has been a freak season and league performance has been disappointing but I am convinced Martinez can fix this and take us forward, starting with the FA cup.

Are people thinking the FA Cup has lost its glamour?

Let's keep going. This period between now and May is big for EFC and the worst thing 2 we can do is be negative and call for the managers head. Let's wait until the season finishes and go into it then but I don't think it's fair on the club to bleat on about Martinez's sacking whilst we are in a period of much required togetherness to finish successfully.

Just until June. Please.

It's been two seasons though.

Nonsense. Lunacy. Crazy Talk.

I just think it's better to evaluate in June

I was a Martinez 'IN' for ages mate, and up until last week still was, but I'm now on the fence.

I would love him to be the one to take us to great times, but it just gets harder and harder to back him after every game we play, his tactics and substitutions have you scratching your head, his on going theme in post match interviews to blame everyone/everything else after a defeat rather than looking at himself, in his world everything he does is the right thing to do, when we can all see, it's not.

Admire your loyalty Lou but what would he have to do to get you off the fence? A Wigan-esque 30% win record the last two seasons is way, way below what's acceptable.

Going to float a theory out there. Do you think that when Moshiri came on board one of his conditions was that he brings in a manager he wants. Since he's came in our performances in the league have nose dived severely. Sure we've had poor results most of the season however parts of our play have been great. At the moment there's nothing. So maybe this has filtered down to the players and they are no longer playing for him, cup games aside where they are playing for the glory.

After last season I was more than prepared to give him more time. Around Christmas I started climbing the fence. Sat on there for a while, but after West Ham at home I started to climb down at the 'Martinez out' side of the fence. After the Arsenal and Man Utd games I stopped climbing down and jumped instead.

Just don't see Martinez being able to turn it around. Sadly it hasn't worked out. I'd have loved Martinez to get it right. For all his faillures there are also quite a few positives about him imo. Also the fact that he seems genuinely proud to be the manager of our great club. For all those positives however, I'm convinced we should part ways with him. The PL is the most unforgiving league in the world. Our drop down the league in the last 2 seasons is quite alarming and uncomforting.

Dutch you have summed up almost how I feel, one of the points that I have to give Martinez is the quality of some of the football we have seen, I have people talking to me about Everton saying they love some of the football and rate us as one of the best footballing teams in the country after the 90's and Moyes I wouldn't have thought that would be possible. However something has changed and I don't know what it is but the team are not happy and I think the manager has lost the team.

They stopped playing for him a long time before mush got here....I imagine the champaign corks will be popping in the dressing room when we part ways with brown shoes.

I'm not sure of that. But like i said just a theory as since he's came we haven't won a league game or even looked like winning one.

The manager has successfully dumbed down everyone's expectations and completed the transformation into Wigan. I first suspected it when Dave was coming on here saying mid table and a cup semi final was a successful season and shows progress. He was one of the first to be brainwashed by Berto's chocolate button eyes

And do not forget RM is a smooth talking salesman.
