On the same weekend our ten-men capitulated at home from having a two-goal lead with twelve minutes to go to somehow losing the match against West Ham, our loveable neighbours played Palace away and were a goal down before Milner was red-carded with just under half an hour remaining.

They won 2-1 having come from a goal behind with ten men at the same venue and against the same team. I may be wrong but I think they may have even been below us in the table at that point - certainly within a couple of points.

In light of the above, I am disappointed.

We should be capable of putting teams like palace away in the first half anyway

Should be

I have always been in the bobby in camp, I honestly thought last season was a blip but after the last two matches I fear where we could end up if he stays, we played two poor sides low on confidence and never ever looked like beating either of them, the players look lost and completely drained of any confidence
I genuinely like Bobby a nice guy in a job too big for him and when he goes I'll wish him the best of luck

Not only is it difficult to see where the next win is going to come from, it's difficult to see where the next goal is going to come from.

What happened to Baines free kicks? Coleman back post tap ins, Jags/FM/Stones headers from corners.... its not justa dry spell for the forwards- just seems like everyone has mild flu.

I would,nt get to sentimental the bloke is stuffing 3 million notes into his bank account each year. He will leave a very rich man then go and destroy another club who is daft enough to take him on like us.

40mins with 10 men mate.

He's spot on, it was satisfying that we came away with a point.

After the sending off, were you disappointed with the 0-0 in the end?
It wasn't a disappointing result if you base it solely on the fact we were quite early on reduced to ten men and were able to get a point.

To that degree it wasn't poor and yes specifically looking at that aspect then yes it may be even be satisfying, but incredibly satisfying?

Incredibly positive? When you look at it from a wider perspective and not simply in isolation, then I'm sure fans are still rightfully disappointed.

Martinez has came out with the usual rhetoric of using superlatives to make everything seem rosy and great, when it's really not as all can see it.

I'm not saying he has to come out and be totally glum desolate, but some signs of the realisation of our position as a whole wouldn't go amiss.

In fact, I think it would give him some more much needed leeway with both the fans, players, press and those in the club's hierarchy.

Something along the lines of... "We're content with a point, especially as we had to play against ten men away from home and we worked hard."

"Although we know there's still a lot to do... we're not playing anywhere near our expected standard... we must do a lot more to improve things."

Instead, he's come out with usual nonsense which just goes to antagonise the fans more and strengthen our view that he's out of his depth.

A draw wasn't the worst result to be fair, but there was nothing incredible about it. Drawing with a woeful Palace simply isn't good enough.
