I can't believe how bad it's got at the moment. The atmosphere around the club just seems to be absolutely poisionous. I'm making a 400+ mile round trip to go the game on Saturday. I've been going anything from once to a handful of times a season depending on how near Liverpool I've been living since 1984 and for the first time ever, I'm actually not looking forward to going one bit. And I blame Martinez for that.

We need to pray that they don't score first either, otherwise i can't see how it will be easy for the team to get any sort of result.

If I'm honest mate, yes.

If it'd have been anyone higher than us in the league, I'd have agreed, good solid effort.

But Palace were abysmal - and had three chances that any decent striker would have tapped in. We had the Barkley shot and Funes Mori deflection as our only really serious second half attempts.

It was really, really poor, and the attitude stunk even in the pre-match drills.

There's a weird thing where Palace ran out as a unit second half, did a quick sprint drill, and got in position. Our lads ambled out in separate groups.

A functioning, not even a full cry, Everton side would have beaten Palace even with ten men last night. But it was abysmal stuff. Probably three of the eleven, or 14 including the subs, emerged in decent credit for me.
Funnily enough I mentioned the same thing at the game.

I think one of Roberto's real weak points is his inability to get the crowd behind the team. There are certain very simple concessions that he could make which would improve the atmosphere in games (and maybe give him some more breathing space) but he doesn't do it. I thought we should have been sent running out as a team in the second half, maybe a couple of the Gravesen/Heitinga style fist pumps to the crowd before kick off, and suddenly you've got 2500 fans roaring you on. Instead we came out in dribs and drabs, kicked off, fell over and gave the ball away, and everybody goes 'here we go again...' and gives up.

It is all his own doing though. how can you expect the home fans to get behind the team at say west ham when the goals go flying in when the fans have seen defeat after limp defeat at home to worse teams?

away from home, how can you expect a few thousand fans who have travelled to get behind 9 men behind the ball against palace? see what i mean, it is all down to him why the fans aren't on his side, its not the result that is the issue with this, it is the performances.

Trust me..i have a source in the Moshiri camp

Its Jorge Sampaoli

Place a bet now..and thank me later

(Would i lie to you?)
He sounds good on paper mate so not a terrible suggestion. Only problem is he has never managed outside of Argentina, may or may not be a factor into him being a success anywhere.

Yeah you're preaching to the converted mate.

That's what i was getting at, our support can be a very powerful tool but he doesn't seem to be able to harness it. Look at the atmosphere for the chelsea game, just because it was blood and thunder. Any idiot would have thought them to themselves 'seems like they like this kind of thing' and sent the team out to start the same way against Arsenal. Instead we started off with a whimper, and all the goodwill built up the week before disappears immediately.

I've just chucked all the kids on it to be safe.

I have bad news mate

I suppose it depends if you love your kids or not

I love them very much, so much so I was hoping I would win the bet placed on the new manager and I would be able to buy them back, or at least one of them and pay on the drip for the other.

Think I will just tell the missus Chelsea fans done it. Never fails.
