The thing that baffles me about this idiot is that i already know what excuses he is going to use

I can see it right now after an FA cup semi final defeat, "we looked tired, we have played 5 games in 2 weeks" blah blah blah

Yesterday was the perfect time to give the likes of Rom & Ross a rest. They have pretty much played every single minute this season and have a massive game coming up in the semi final but continues to use the same 14/15 players over and over again.

He isnt going to rest people for saints on saturday as our home form is shocking and he needs to improve on that and he isnt going to rest people for the derby either is he? The semi is all i am arsed about and he is going to ruin it

It baffles me, it honestly does!

the simple point is, would a team that had kone / niasse / pienaar / gibson / osman / mirallas / galloway / oviedo etc all aplying or involved got a worse result than last night?

Imagine giving ross/rom/aaron/barry/stones/baines/coleman a few days rest for the next game?

and following that, do you think rom and ross will be any good against united off the back of 4 games in just over a week?

Mate it's not hard at all, at home we play the way the manager sets out to and wants to, possession based football, the opponent tends to sit back and look to counter us, and also look to put pressure on the cb's and not let us play it out from the back - forcing mistakes, and since the end of the first season every team has gotten on to the fact that you do that vs us we unravel. we also don't pres so a team sitting deep has it easy vs us and can play it out with no trouble

Away from home their is the pressure on the opponent to come out at us, meaning we are 'tighter' at the back as their isn't massive gaps between the midfield and defence and it allows us to hit them on the counter, and we have a fair bit of pace in Lukaku, Deulofeu, Barkley and Lennon and Lukaku has more space in behind them which is his strength running into it

Sorry, I meant I don't understand why Martinez hasn't got us playing better at home

Morning coffee is only just kicking in ;)

That's it. I'm now fully convinced you're Davek
Football fan suggests Everton manager isn't the only one who talks drivel from time to time shock.
If your job is to convince me everything he does is worse than anything everyone else would ever do then you've set yourself a tough agenda.

What really worries me is the parallel with Villa, this time last season their form slumped and they got to the cup final. Unless something major happens over the summer then i fear we will be going into next season as the whipping boys. I know it's been said before, but this month has to be critical for Martinez, if we continue in this vein I don't see how any responsible board of directors can retain his services much longer.

So you'd have given him no stick if we played a few second string and got beat? It's what I'd have liked to see to but can't help thinking it was a no win situation. And he may well think resting them nearer the semi makes more sense whether it's home or away. Points are points.

I am guessing that today's Board meeting will just be a yellow card for RM. The Board will express their "concern" and Bobby will bs them about "2 semi-finals" etc. The final red card for him will come either after the semi-final or at the end of the season. It's gonna be a painful few weeks for us before the light at the end of the tunnel becomes brighter.

Another Bobby post match interview and again I think I was watching a different game.

We scraped a 0-0 against palace yeah?

or did we beat Barca 2-0 to qualify for the CL SF?

I think Dave has been working on Roberto's defence. That's why we haven't seen him
