Have to agree with this. Not sure where the idea came from that he conducts himself with class. He blames absolutely everyone and everything other than himself, and recently dragged a player's name through the mud in order to deflect from yet another poor run of form.
I'm not disputing your display of class throughout this trying time, mind.
I'm sure he's a lovely bloke on a personal level, and from speaking to people who've chatted to him that seems to be the case. In his role as manager though, he seems to have fallen out with a lot of well respected senior pros, has blamed seemingly anything and everything except himself, and has been less than complimentary about both our fans and our history. He also risked bringing the club into disrepute when getting his world cup accreditation removed for not playing by the rules.
I think some people were taken in by the obvious media stuff he did when he first came in - bringing on board Royle and Ferguson, inviting Kendall to Finch Farm etc. I don't think he 'gets' Everton in the slightest, if he'd taken the Liverpool or Villa jobs he'd have said and done the exact same things as he did to us. I think he's just a pretty bright bloke who has had extensive media training and knows which buttons to press. Unfortunately, he now seems to have accidentally pressed the one marked 'self destruct'.
