It's an interesting one, both - if the original video had been titled 'Martinez chatting with young fan before u-21 game' it'd gone nowhere.

But it was labelled as 'give Roberto [poor language removed]' - which start all the rest of the discussion.

I'm not sure I believe that Duncan 'agreed' with him - now that would be amazingly unprofessional and it's a big accusation - and the lad openly admits to swearing at him, which was completely wrong and puts him on the back foot morally. However if Martinez did indeed use the phrase 'you Everton fans' it's a serious insight into the current fan / club / management situation.

It's interesting that no one around them, bar Jones, seems to get involved.

Edit - tell a lie, the old fella that puts his hand on the kid's arm and looks to be mediating. Such a shame there is no sound here.

'F off back to Spain' is the incredibly stupid thing he said, and I think he will regret saying it (well, hopefully).

And not equally at all - as let's face it, a fan was banned for racism for less than that towards Saha - but Martinez using the phrase 'you Everton fans' is an amazing turn of phrase. Is he already seeing it as them and us?

I think it's more we have supported Everton since we knew what football was mate. Martinez won't have been an Everton fans and understand a the attachment we have

As I said, I have no idea if it's true or if the lad talking in the message is the same person, but if it is and its a true reflection on the events then its a pretty poor conversation and ferguson should also be disciplined as its very unprofessional
