Shephard even read a message from an Everton fan who said it wasn't knee jerk, this has been 18 months in the making. He even posed the question from the fan if 4 home wins in 12 months was good enough and it was just brushed aside. As @MACCA75 said they are missing the point completely.

There is no self entitlement because we won titles prior to the 90s. We are looking at the squad of players we have now and there is no way we should be sitting 14th. At least the Soccer Saturday pundits had a reasonable discussion yesterday, they can see the squad we have and that we are underachieving and can understand why Martinez is under pressure from the fans.
