I still think he will turn it round, all you have to do is look at Sir Alex at United its exactly the same .............

Not really

Sir Alex Ferguson joined united in Nov 1986 and moved on a lot on senior players and bought new ones in...the performances then improved dramatically after that, he won the FA cup

With Roberto it's started on great and then went down hill in the league and almost 3 years on he still has not won a trophy and we are sliding down the league season on season.

Sorry mate SAF won 50 odd trophies and was a winner before he went to MUFC without relegating a team, Roberto won't get 50 more wins full stop let along trophies

Not the same .... very different

@eddy look what you started

He's on the wind up mate

Did anybody see Flores' quote from his pre match conference?
FLORES ON BLAME...

Quique Sanchez Flores takes the blame for their poor run in an honest assessment...

“The responsibility is on the coach. Me. I need to focus on what is the target. They don’t respond in the way I like because I am not able to transmit the necessary ambition to play the Premier League games. I prefer to assume the responsibility and I have to support the players."

Think Martinez could learn a thing or two from him.

Based on what ? Martinez won the fa cup and moyes never ?
I guess Martinez must also be a utter failure because he was also relegated - moyes wasn't.

I cannot see Martinez surving here yet alone Manchester United or Barcelona were everyone (including Martinez) believes he will end up.

i'm a positive thinking person, i choose to see the positives that outweight the negatives. nothing on the honours board for avoiding relegation.

not sure anyone believes that now ... then again, that's a decent indicator to how fickle football is.

Robertos Dream has a point.....I sometimes think its the attitude of the supporters that needs to 'click into place'. Some of our football has been scintillating, but a lot of our defending has been awful, for various reasons.Who manages the supporters?
Why do we need managing? If Martinez is trying to, he's even worse at that than coaching.
Jesus H, Steve. You're asking for blind faith after two seasons of bad defending. I asked those in favour of Martinez remaining how do they think he'll fix the defensive malaise. No answer. Silence. Just it'll work or he'll buy loads of players and we will be boss again. He can't get a tune out of a backline of internationals. He's known for leaky teams. Unless he buys a back five who are ball playing and require zero coaching, then we're not likely you succeed.

At least one time in the last 2 season, ok I'll break it down to just this season's home games...just one time say he made an error. Any error. "I made a mistake in team selection" " I got it wrong today" "I take accountability for today's performance". Always someone else to blame.
To be honest I've heard those words about three or four times from any manager.
But I asked specifically about what he was asked today.

How on earth were we the better team? We created about 1 chance and hit the bar, we struggled to string two passes together, it was abysmal. If your standards are that low, best of luck to you
like I said, United were terrible, we were slightly better. We defended really well, apart from the goal, which should have been snuffed out easily. Jags had 2 chances, 1 hit the bar, 1 straight at the keeper, and Lukaku was an inch away from tapping it home from Coleman's dangerous cross. Like i said before, had we won 3-1 by scoring those chances, no one would have been saying it was a bad performance.
