Personally i would sack martinez alone on the the fact he lashed blame at the home support for why we weren't winning more at home.

That comment itself is just disrespectful to the fans, they can't cheer losing performances, and when you keep serving them up, whilst we are shipping goals at the same time, then not too sure what you expect the fans to be cheering.

The words Baines actually said, which he has now quoted here were meant as an honest interpretation of how things can improve. I'd agree with him. The tone of the headlines and the presentation implied more to fit into a mood and to gather more attention to their rag.
I can easily see Baines then taking it upon himself to apologise and mean it, whether to the whole team or not.
Only then fair that to answer a question about it Martinez explains what has happened rather than fuel it further.
Maybe naive on his part with this atmosphere but still a reasonable approach.
You don't all have to consistently look for issues to make your points surely. And as someone who is on the fence it makes me less inclined to listen
"There's none as blind as them that refuse to see."

All opinions are valued equally in here mate and should be respected.
You should always feel free to express yours.
I just feel on this occasion, there was no misrepresentation or misquote. A clear case of spin and deflection by a Manager that is surely on his last legs as Everton Manager.
He's basically blamed the whole world for 2 rubbish seasons. Once, only once, if he had come out and said the 4 easy words to the fans "I made a mistake" then we would be with him as he is a nice man and we all want him to succeed.
This latest deflection is just treating us like fools I feel.

I never said it was a good performance, i said it wasn't a terrible one, but in my opinion it should have been enough to win that game. Jags hit the crossbar, and hit his shot straight at De Gea, Lukaku was an inch from tapping the ball home, we could have gotten 3 goals easily from them and had we scored them, then would you have been saying it was a terrible performance? Winning 3-1 in Manchester?

We didn't though

It's just another week in the if, but and maybe reign of Roberto Martinez

Not a personal attack to anyone but it amazes me how much how Martinez's stint at wigan is dismissed so much despite a lot of the facts/signs being the same as the last 2 seasons. It is pretty much blind denial, with the 'he will turn it around' based on actually very little evidence. We all want him to turn it around, but sometimes managers just aren't good enough. He clearly isn't cut out for managing in the premier league, 6 years have proven that now.

the measure here will be what job he goes to after he leaves here. Guarantee you no club in the league will touch him.
