What does Baines have to apologise for and why does Bobby need to tell the press?
He has the lost the plot and probably his job very soon.

Apologies, they weren't formed as questions to ask Martinez but rather what went through my mind when I heard the conference. The questions are a little weak and seem contrite
Have a lie down mate.Sorry. Not sure what any of that means. Sounds a little too biblical for me. His quotes were about the players. What has set him free exactly?
Or you get these things right in training and you don't fuel the debate furtherThat's your opinion, however I perceived a different message behind the scenes due to words chosen, tone of voice and body language.
Expect to take responsibility... words that 'may not be right'.... explaining how he should speak on the pitch... stressing his experience...
If it were a misunderstanding of words then why not stress what Baines actually meany? Why not get Baines himself to clarify his opinion?
To me, he was critical that Baines had spoken out out of turn and that Martinez disagrees with what was said. Lots of others do not though.
I'll agree it's not the biggest deal ever spoken, but to have Roberto and one other deny its existence is taking condescending to a new level really. If I'm 100% honest I reckon a bit too much has been made of Baines' comment.
Not that there's not obvious issues around the club at the moment. Just this one has gone a bit too far.

Just like he seems to constantly blame everything but himself. A little bit of humility and hold his hands every now and then could go a long way for us to make a decision whether he is what we need. At the moment he's not in my opinion.Well he mainly said it was open to interpretation. Which is true. I took it to mean that partnerships like his with Pienaar need to be developing on the pitch. I agree with that but it's a little dull so obviously the press and lots on here took it to mean all the players don't get on. Seems he's likely apologised for allowing that interpretation. Why should the manager explain more?
You don't have to prove he's constantly at fault for everything to make a decision on whether he's what Everton need.
I'm well rested ta. And would be a bit odd if I did now.Have a lie down mate.
well yes..I just zone out reallyThink I'm just used to him now.
You're going to have to prove to me his approach in analysing individual games is dramatically different from other managers. He seems to talk about the club as a whole and include himself in that. Don't know if that's particularly unusual.Just like he seems to constantly blame everything but himself. A little bit of humility and hold his hands every now and then could go a long way for us to make a decision whether he is what we need. At the moment he's not in my opinion.
It's a turn of phrase mate, jesus wept. Thinking Baines has stood there and apologised to the players for telling the truth is a leap I'm not willing to take. More power to you if you can.I'm well rested ta. And would be a bit odd if I did now.
Still interested in what you said about being set free in the context of what Leighton actually said
Well as I would guess the squad has increased in value in his time here I think you'd provide money even on the basis that it's immediately recoverable
