I really want Everton to win the semi (and final)...that is all.

It is unfortunate that Martinez-centric considerations (i.e. in/out), appear, for so many Evertonians, to cloud that fundamental.

He has my total support for the remainder of the season.

But I reckon we need a better manager beyond this season.

I highly doubt you'll find any Everton fan anywhere that doesn't want this.

We've got a great chance against Milwall?

Our game is likely to be a lot tougher. Granted it's a cup competition and we're definitely capable of winning, but I can't see us being favourites with the bookies.
not exactly a bad thing with these weak minded players at our disposal

We're favourites to win the whole competition at the moment although that may change after the q/f is replayed.

At worst we'll be slightly second favourites for the cup though.

Favourites. Second favourites. Will any of that stop us conceding 3 goals in 15 minutes when 2/0 ahead? That's the only detail that matters. And we are all bricking it..

I'm no bricking it, I think the cup game will be a totally different game and form will go completely out of the window. We are very capable of winning this competition.

I don't even know what the discussion is really about but the point is, the experts who get paid to analyse these things think we've got a great chance of winning this thing now and I agree.

It's probably our best chance to win a competition since 95. Every other year we've reached a semi or final there's always been an outstanding side in our way, even when we were 1 up against Chelsea in the final I don't reckon the bookies would of had us favourites to win it like we are now.

Sort term, I just want to win the cup, that's what it's all about, winning pots.

It's surprising to see just how binary the opinion is on Martinez.

As someone who no longer knows whether he has it in him to turn the ship around, I find it difficult to accept only 3% of blues agree.

It's okay not to be sure about something. I see both sides of the argument. But it feels like the battle lines are well and truly drawn and you're either "with him or against him."

Probably saying"Bobby is a first class manager, league form doesn't matter it is the cup that is important, don't worry Bobby will have a plan to get us out of relegation trouble".
Like he did every season until it caught up with him. Experiment all season with his system then when it's getting a bit late on and in trouble changes it to get results. Then back to form the next season and repeat.

I agree with all of that. And I am still bricking it.

My gut feeling tells me we will be starting next season with Martinez in charge.

I don't know why.
Yes I feel the same, need to keep the pressure on hiim, just to mention,my cat has died.would have lived longer,if Martinez wasn't here, all that trying to get out of house, when we lost didn't help.

My attitude has changed to him slightly now but not for the reasons of our form.

I've been a big supporter of his and if we were still under the control of the regime we've had for the last 20 years I'd still want him in charge.

Managers like Moyes are limited, he did a great job for us when we need it but we'd have never won a thing or broken the mould under him but I do feel Bobby potentially has it in to him win cups (we know this for certain) and rebuild club form top to bottom whilst putting in place an ethos that makes us competitive and gives us our own DNA as he says. A creative style that means we can go anywhere with confidence, be adventurous in our play and not have to grind out results which will only take you so far although I can understand the fear of some the way it's going at the moment. I certainly think he has it in him to achieve top 4 and establish a mid table, mediocre but skint big club back up at the top again with limited resources but it will take time.

However the Moshri takeover has changed the whole landscape for me and we now need a different type of manager. We don't need to believe in Martinez now, or give him time to see if he can deliver what he says, we can afford the real deal. I think we've got a right few ££££ to work with (a lot more than people think) and the whole ball game has changed. Right now we need a proven manager who can get instant results and win the respect of this cracking squad that Martinez has done so well to put together.
