I sort of agree. And it might even give him a kick up of arse that he badly needs. God knows the chairman isn't going to give it to him.

But there's also a chance it would be a massive waste of time.

It's like the board ( so far ) aren't assed themselves but surely moshri and kenwright will be talking to one another about how/if we are to progress. If banners makes it more known to the powers of our club I'm all for it

Zat, he's been a manager at our club for over a season. You and Dave are on a wind up. You don't reply to decent posts and only reply to over the top ones like what started this thread.

Show me a decent post and happy to reply to it.

Just balancing work with posting :) or should that be the other way around?!

Those saying wait til after semi/potential final; with the way things are, the fans not happy and the players seemingly not happy either, would it not make sense to make the change and give everyone a boost before the semi or at least give RM a wake-up call?
The reality is he's not getting sacked before the semi, and he'll be fully aware of a significant chunk of the support turning on him already. It'll have zero benefit in time for the semi.

He'll most likely be starting next season as Manager as well.

WHU united which we would have won with 10 men but for a penalty muss and 2 individual errors from Mori

OR

Arsenal game which involved one individual error

OR yesterdays games individual error?

Didjt realise we were favourites to beat arsenal or Utd myself....
Thank you for clarifying that we've lost 3 games in a row.

So how else could we convey our feelings in such an obvious way to RM, the board and the press without it being deemed 'kopite behaviour'?
I'd agree he seems "a thoroughly decent fellow" but ultimately it's a results business, not a personality contest

i think we have expressed our feelings quite well in home games this season with the reaction to results and some of his dafter substitutions.

I know I certainly have.

To the extent he himself has resorted to pointing a finger at the fans as one of the reasons the team is hopeless at home.

Plus I would question the effectiveness of such a gesture.

They flew a blooming plane over St. Mary's calling for Bill to get out.

Eight months and a change of ownership later, Bill is still chairman.

Go figger.

Martinez won't be here in August.

Anyone who thinks this new bloke doesn't realise Bobby is out of his depth and is sounding out a replacement is living in la la land.

We used to laugh at Kopites and other bellend fans who indulge in these type of stunts.

I still do.

I don't want to be laughing at my own kind...

As actual if we are making the final.

But if on the off chance we might my want for Everton to just effing win something is currently beating my want for Martinez to go.

Just.
I just think we stand a better chance of winning both semi and final if he's not in charge. Him leaving is inevitable now imho. End of season or now. Now gives us a better chance of beating West Ham or Manu. All imho, like I said

If probably agree.

But there is absolutely no chance on this earth he's leaving before the semi.

For me wait till after the inevitable derby defeat and probable semi final defeat. After that then I think banners and chants are needed to force the board into acting. We are quite a patient bunch and afford our managers alot of slack but if we lose them two games then where will be? It doesn't bare thinking about.

Singing The La's Doledrum.

To be fair, you've given 'answers' but they're not really fully answering the original questions hence the whole skirting around the topic concept...

For example, the season not being over or not is arguably irrelevant to the questions at hand as they're hypothetical not answered in hindsight.

To make it easier, I'll give a pro-forma that you may wish to follow. @davek you may want to contribute as well.

What happens if we lose in the semi-final?:

What do you define as a poor season?:

What would it take for you to agree Martinez should be sacked?:

Lose the semi -- Good experience of wembley at least and hopefully more trips to come!

Poor season-- 8th/9th expected. 10th/11th below par...anything lower would be poor.

Martinez to be sacked -- For me this isnt only results based. Id like to see some good performances till the end of the season. Regroup in the summer, rid ourselves of a LOT of players and make some key signings.

I think its fair to wait till the summer and assess what we have in the squad + let him sign players and see how we get on next season

Next season is critical for him. He will have his own squad then +Stones/Mori/Niasse etc should habe adapted and grown then.

You guys do realise that we (fans) possess the power to fire managers? so if we really want martinez out... don't wait for the media/board to apply pressure; its ourselves via banners, protests, boycotts etc. and enough of that will get it done. The board serves us - we don't serve them (yet they don't want you to know that). So stop posting 1000000x times on here about how much you want Martinez out, and instead bring a banner to the game... or better yet organise a protest. Martinez is still in charge because we as fans tolerate it; maybe its time we took a bit of the blame ourselves
