I'd only consider five of those to be at optimum age for their position and only two of them of that age to be performing consistently. For a squad as opposed to team that's really not ideal

So you're talking about an actual age rather than a range?! Like, if a player is a centre half they must be 28 otherwise they're no good? I'm not sure how well that's going to work out in the long run if we need to keep replacing players every summer once they're no longer 'optimum age'.

If it wasn't for the F.A Cup I think there would be massive pressure for the club to sack him.

I'm not sure I want us to win the F.A Cup, that's what Martinez has reduced me to, because I don't want us to win the Cup and then he gets another season to do this to us.

There are those who may think Martinez’s inclusion for a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford is unfair, but I would presume that most Everton supporters are not members of that camp. On that evidence, it’s no wonder that he wants to leave. Gerard Deulofeu won’t be far behind.
As ever with Martinez, it’s the wilful delusion that antagonises supporters most. Reacting to Lukaku’s comments about a desire for Champions League football this week, Everton’s manager gave us that same old smile:
“Rom wants to be important and he is important to our team,” Martinez said. “He is talking about aspirations and that is what we want at Everton – to be in the Champions League and win titles. We share our ambitions. The aspiration of Romelu Lukaku is the aspiration of Everton.”
It’s hard not to laugh as Martinez long jumps over the line between optimism and fantasy. Everton are closer in points to a rotten bottom three than the top six. Even more disconcerting is the club’s trend: Under Martinez, they’re getting worse not better.
Nobody can deny that Martinez “wants” Everton to be successful. It’s the doing we’re all having problems believing in.

6 signed by Martinez, 2 at least given contract renewals. That's at least 8 out of 10 chosen by the manager in the past 2 years for his squad.

So maybe he hasn't developed the squad at all.

I'd like to think all that is BS mate bit do you know what, when the players aren't putting a shift in and the manager isn't doing his job, they leave themselves open to all kinds of rumours which snowball.

If they pulled their fingers out their arses and looked like they care along with manager actually looking like he knew what he was supposed to be doing, there wouldn't be any rumours of unrest.

I've said it since last season Stoke away when Bobby should have been sacked - if I could sack half of this squad I would bin them straight off. Unfortunately that can't happen so next in the firing line is Martinez. We shouldn't be waiting until any semi final to make this decision, he should be sacked right now, today. Any kind of similar performance to Arsenal or Utd where we look toothless will see us pick up 0 points against Watford, Palace, Saints and I dread to think if we play like yesterday standing off what the RS will do. Not going to be much fun is it going into a semi final if these type of performances continue.

We need to do what's right for the good of the club and that is to get shut asap.

Yeah like i say i don't know if its true - the lad i spoke to has little insight and does find a couple of things out from time to time - but its more like what cars the players are driving and some other [Poor language removed] rather then transfers lollollol which is usually useless.

but - i think we can see that there is no desire on the pitch from the players, and i do think that Martinez wouldn't be able to get the team fired up for some reason.

What irks me a little bit is this brewing division in the site that anyone who doesn't want us to win the cup is a kopite or not a true fan. Personally I want us to lose the semi final. Balls to the cup if t means a poor manager keeps his job, if we get the final then I want us to win it sure , but right now the fact cup semi is pretty much a safety net for a lot of supporters for Martinez. Take that away and you are left with poor league form and top players leaving 3 months before the season ends. Then the focus can be on Martinez and without the results it adds pressure into him.

I even seen give him til Christmas from a poster on here, so give him half a season again to ruin another year before we finally make a change ? By then it could be too late and we lose more players.

People don't seem to want to take notice that once lukaku goes or Ross or whoever else, the players we have to replace them are simply not good enough, and we won't have the pull to attract the level of player we want to either.
