I am not calling them fools at all. Not sure how you construed that out of what I said.

Martinez is the toxin for the toxic atmosphere.

The fans are so fed up they are very critical of our play...it's past the point of no return for many of them.
Once again you are doing it indirectly. And in this case contradicting yourself by agreeing with my argument.
Martinez isn't the toxin as you put it. "Critical of our play"? Are you not? It doesn't matter which Manager is standing on the touchline, but the rubbish being served on the pitch is the "toxin for the toxic atmosphere".
Why can't you just allow yourself to get off the fence and criticise something you don't like, without coming across as you are condescending towards the fans...which I don't think you actually are intentionally.

Ancellotti = Bayern
Simeone = staying at atletico
Conte = Chelsea
Pep = Man City
Mourinho = Unknown

So of the big names only Mourinho available (who needs players in their prime or he cant win in 3 year timeframe)

Rudi Garcia = Found out this season
Unai Emery = Failed overseas
Frank De Boer = One horse race lost to PSV
Philip Cocu = Inexperienced
Ronald Koeman = Bavarian waters will dry soon
Andre Villas Boas = Failed in England

I'm actually not sure whose left really who could be seen as a "huge name" which players would want to join the club to play under nor someone whose won a lot of trophies?

Even with huge money from Moshiri i am not sure who would actually excite me as a manager....

Mourinho would be the only interesting one for me, but only if his mandate was to develop youth and bring it through like he did once upon a time at Porto and like he did with a few players at Madrid like Jess and Varane (who he signed).

That would be an opportunity for us and him to see if he could build a legacy. I couldnt see it though as i think he would implode the club.

It was interesting that Arsenal took a gamble on Wenger from Japan....not sure thats the way to go.

For me the only real contender which would not only be exciting but also realistic would be Thomas Tuchel. Main reason being that he upgraded both Mainz and Dortmund with minimum effort and maximum efficiency.

We could get him BUT i still say lets see who is signed in the summer and give Martinez till xmas.

My point of view is very simple, I think Everton are capable of attracting a much better manager than Martinez, and therefore I see absolutely no valid reason why we should keep him when we can employ somebody who is better than him. Choosing an inferior manager over a superior one is just masochism in my book.

However I don't think this team is as good as everyone thinks it is. I don't agree that it is the best since the 1980's. The 07 - 09 team would smash this lot into oblivion. It had better players, a better manager, and were a much better team. Our midfield isn't very good at all, it might even be bottom half standard. It's certainly no better than mid-table standard. Our defence is OK and is being disabled by Martinez' insane tactics, but we really need to add to this squad if we want to compete. It's not that good.

Top post. It's definitely a bit of both, though more so the manager. We've got a couple of decent wide players and Barkley, but McCarthy and Cleverley does not a top 6 midfield make.

Read that and think it's a pitiful article to be honest, scaremongering nonsense which comes with a 'better the devil you know' attitude. It's like suggesting you stay locked in a small room with a tarantula because there might be a honey badger waiting outside.

There's too many differentials. The other striker may only have scored 10 to 15 but may have got like 87 assists and been a right snidey a-hole who got opponents sent off and won 32 penalties all converted by Baines.

It's just impossible to say.

So a kind of like De Bruyne, crossed with Suarez. I Iike it, where can we get one ?

1 we are easy to beat as stats prove.
2. The players look half arsed and mainly disinterested.
3. His win record is appalling for 2 full seasons.
4. He deflects bale too easy and is staring to come across much worst than what we thought Brendan Rodgers did.
5 he is completely out of his depth and should be drop kicked back to Wigan as that is his standard.
6 he has turned us from a team respected to a complete soft touch.
7. I am bored of people making excuses time and time and game after game, he is complete and utter garbage and no flakey cup win will overshadow that.
8. Please get the joker out of our football club.

Have I got most things covered?

lol lol...that is very good mate

That's not due to his polarising...it's due to bemusement.
...and responding to people like you who blame match going Evertonians for under performance.

No offence mate, but when it comes to putting the cart before the horse, you are waaay proficient.

Never blamed them for our performance at home.

Anyway I better get off here for a while. I have stuff I need to get done today and I am pissing off sound Blues.

Sorry if I've angered anyone.

He wears brown shoes ?

I agree fully on both points. We should be aiming for as high as calibre of manager as possible and yes the 07 - 09 side would batter this current team. Far more energy and tactical nouse and this was during a period when the likes of Man U and Chelsea had the best sides in Europe.

Yep, that was a very good balanced team with quality and consistency all over the pitch matched with work ethic and everyone knowing what they were doing. They would pick off this team with ease. Cahill would have a field day in the air v this defence and Arteta and Pienaar would lead this poor midfield a merry dance. Jags and Lescott were second only to Vidic and Ferdinand as a pairing. Jags and Stones are nowhere near that currently.

Need to get the fans back onside sharpish - Dunc and Big Joe Royle for the remaining games
They'd bring home a Cup

Then new manager comes in over early Summer

Who needs to get the fans onside sharpish?

Martinez would be sacked under your plan so not him.

Kenwright is now behind Moshiri so not him.

Moshiri wont do anything till summer so not him.

Also, having someone come in who last managed the club 20 years ago is too much heart not much head....same for Ferguson.

There's a dedicated thread for hypothetical replacements Zat (y)
