Girlfriends parents are coming over from Spain to visit her and need to take them all out for a swanky meal up in central London this weekend.

Has anyone got any recommendations ? Not particularly arsed what type of food, so long as it's a pretty classy establishment with high quality food in a nice location. Budget is about £300 for 4 people (excluding drinks) although obviously would rather it cost less.
Decent places need a table booking...

Vasco & Pieros Pavilion Restaurant on Poland Street, exceptional food and drink from Umbria. Also Michael Palin's favourite place to eat.

I like eating here in Shoreditch but theres one in covent garden. Never been to it but the food is delicious and cocktails excellent. Easily within budget.

Have you ever tried Quality Chop House in Clerkenwell? (Not a million miles from where you are). Fantastic old British food and some great wines - look it up......

looks interesting. one of the benefits of living in London is the food/pub options. Though since my wife became pregnant and decided to retire eating out is pretty rare these days.
