Parcheggia l'autobus
Girlfriends parents are coming over from Spain to visit her and need to take them all out for a swanky meal up in central London this weekend.

Has anyone got any recommendations ? Not particularly arsed what type of food, so long as it's a pretty classy establishment with high quality food in a nice location. Budget is about £300 for 4 people (excluding drinks) although obviously would rather it cost less.

If you like steak go to Gaucho. There's one just near Picadilly I think. Not cheap (£40-50pp for mains), but well worth it. They have cuts you might never have heard of...

Funny you mention that as that was my fallback option. I went to the one on Richmond riverside the other day, it was boss even for the price.

Galvin at Windows, great french food and a view to die for.

Jason Atherton Pollen Street Social for steaks (or little social across the road)

Locanda Locatelli for swanky Italian

Rules if you want a great British institution

Murano - Angela Hartlet Italian

St John - British food

That's my local one. Took my gf there for her birthday last year. She loves the place.
