Beat Middlesbrough, Reading, Barnsley and the mighty Norwich then when we came up against a decent side we lost, Again
Yeah, all worthless wins. Maybe we should just drop out of the cup if we get a lower league team because it doesn't count if you beat them.

Okay, fair enough.

We created chances, but we didn't create enough near their goal/in areas that really mattered, fair to say?

Maybe that's down to the game plan, the players, or a combination of both - as well as WBA defending well. It happens, so I just suppose we're going to have slightly different opinions on it and agree to disagree?
Banging in shots from 25 yards that miss by 10 feet, when your opponent is making no attempt to contest possession or territory outside their own box, does not amount to "creating" in my book.

But yes, we can simply agree to differ.

Maybe we should if it means the minute we meet a decent one we go out. See Arsenal, Swansea, Weat Ham and City

Not at all, But please don't point to it like some shining light ffs, We beat 4 sides we should beat all day of the week, Then come up against a good side and what happens? We go out

Oh yeah. And the other two were against Newcastle and Stoke...which also dont count because...well...it's inconvenient.
They do count and all victories are welcome, of course they are, should we have had a few more, you don't have to find so many ways to regurgitate the same stuff and I don't have to keep biting.

Of the 8 games we've won this season in the league, 6 have come against teams in the bottom half, with 4 of those against the bottom 3.

Back to wumming again?

They all count pal, good results and bad. The problem is that the three good ones don't outweigh the large number of bad ones, as you jolly well know.

The "Martinez Out" sentiments have been fuelled not by individual results like the Cup exit to City, or the loss to Swansea. They are, for many people, a culmination of a general dissatisfaction with months of poor tactics leading to far too many dropped points.

Dec 2014: 3-0 loss at Southampton.
Dec 2014: 1-0 loss against Stoke at Goodison.
Dec 2014: 3-2 loss at Newcastle.
Jan 2015:2-0 loss at Hull.
Feb 2015: 2-2 draw with Leicester at Goodison.
March 2015: 2-0 loss at Stoke.
March 2015: 5-2 loss at Kiev.
April 2015: 1-1 draw at Swansea.
May 2015: 3-2 loss at Villa.
May 2015: 2-0 loss to Sunderland at Goodison.
August 2015: 2-2 draw against Watford at Goodison.
September 2015: 0-0 draw at Swansea.
November 2015: 3-3 draw at Bournemouth.
December 2015: 1-1 draw against Palace at Goodison.
December 2015: 1-1 draw at Norwich.
December 2015: 4-3 loss to Stoke at Goodison.
January 2016: 2-1 loss to Swansea at Goodison.
January 2016: 3-1 loss to City (semifinal 2nd leg)

That's quite a run of pony results, an they are regular enough that it prevents us from putting decent run of games together. Yes, we've had some very good ones during that period too, but we need to see the rubbish filtered out if we want to get back into contention for the European spots.
And you can add "February 2016: 1-0 loss against WBA at Goodison" to the list too.

We've had injuries but so has every side. There is no excuse for our defensive deficiencies. Villa who are adrift at the bottom of the table and let in 6 at home to Liverpool on Sunday have still let in 3 less goals at home than us.

I'm glad Robles is playing but I don't think he will solve all of our problems even if he will definitely help. We've won 3 games, 2 of them against dreadful opposition. If we'd been playing fantastic all season, challenging for the title like Tottenham and Leicester and had just lost 3 games in a row and then I started calling for Martinez's head you would say I'm knee jerking. I would consider myself to be knee jerking if I went wild at winning back to back games for the first time in about 10 months after 18 months of underperforming.
I'm not saying you're knee jerking. I'm saying that you fail to openly accept that there is a mixture of elements which are combined to result in our underwhelming league form.

Martinez.
Injuries to our best defensive minded players.
Poor form of Howard.
No cash to have a squad competing with City.

It's all of the above. Quite clearly.
