Roberto Martinez discussion

Lol.

What?!

So you'd have gone to City away and played for the clean sheet. Ie put men behind the ball?

And Martinez is the one that's clueless?

You exceed yourself in every post sir.
Nope. That's not what I said.

His comments just told me that he isn't interested in the defence. Maybe if he was we wouldn't be languishing in the bottom half achieving nothing for the second season in a row.

You said clueless.

The fact is that you know diddly squat about what's happening on the training pitch. Neither do I, for that matter, but I am willing to at least appreciate the fact that any team missing their best defender, their best LB, their two midfield "enforcers" in Besic and McCarthy... are bound to struggle defensively.

You are a critic of Howard. Absolutely fair game. He's been very, very poor for 18 months now. Martinez should have dropped him earlier but hasn't. Whether that is for the good of the youngsters in the side or not, he's cost us too many points.

Robles is now playing. In the past 4 matches we've conceded 1 goal.

You've got you what you and we all wanted. Yet you're still venting your spleen whilst failing to recognise half of the reasoning for the past occurrences.

We've had injuries but so has every side. There is no excuse for our defensive deficiencies. Villa who are adrift at the bottom of the table and let in 6 at home to Liverpool on Sunday have still let in 3 less goals at home than us.

I'm glad Robles is playing but I don't think he will solve all of our problems even if he will definitely help. We've won 3 games, 2 of them against dreadful opposition. If we'd been playing fantastic all season, challenging for the title like Tottenham and Leicester and had just lost 3 games in a row and then I started calling for Martinez's head you would say I'm knee jerking. I would consider myself to be knee jerking if I went wild at winning back to back games for the first time in about 10 months after 18 months of underperforming.

Hi mate.

What were your thoughts towards Martinez when we beat our 3rd consecutive opponent 3-0?

My thoughts are the same prior to to those games in question, 2 wins on the bounce in the prem and a victory against a lower league team doesn't fix our issues. What about the collective results 18 months prior to those games........? easy to cherry pick mate.

...aren't you cherry picking and leaving out last season's EL campaign and this season's LC campaign?
