Roberto Martinez discussion

Martinez really has turned into a massive failure as our manager. Shame, really.

First season based on a solid Moyes' defence and other teams massively underperforming he had a shot at top four, but still had us bottle it in relatively simple home games, and it's all been downhill from there.

Really, really grates that he continues to chat absolute bullschit before and after every single game.

Can only see it getting worse. How will we replace Lukaku, who'll easily pass the 25 goal mark before too long? Nobody of any proven quality is going to want to join us.

We won't have to replace him as he isn't going anywhere lad.

Was Eto'o such a disaster? I mean, he came in scored some goals and then left. Not really a disaster eh.

Alcaraz wasnt great, McGeady wasnt great, Kone has scored some goals and enabled Lukaku to score a few as well. Not exactly Juan Sebastian Veron levels of failure to be honest.

Was Eto'o a disaster? Of course he was and a massive one at that, hailed by us as this big signing and got a lot of media attention for it and within 4/5 months we had to ship him off to Turkey as he had proved that divisive a figure. Split the dressing room by all accounts, and his legacy was Martinez feeling he owed Howard for having his back in the dressing room throughout the entire farce. Mate he is the dictionary definition of a disaster.

Alcaraz and Mcgeady weren't great? - they were absolutely bloody terrible - Alcaraz almost single handedly got us humiliated in Kiev and embareesed by the rs as well. McGeady we paid maybe 6m so far for - and he has done absolutely nothing, probably in all likelihood end up another 2 years here drawing 40-60k pw.

As for Kone - he is one of the worst players i have ever seen wear the number 9 shirt for us - and that includes some pretty bad players in that list

Course he is!

Well, I'd be very, very surprised if he stayed. If anything this summer, what with China getting all powerful, we should be looking at generating some huge cash for transfers by selling Stones. If we can keep Kaks, that'd be amazing, as he's worth 15 points alone per season.

Stones is good, but you don't win points for having young English players who do Cruyff turns in their own six yard box.

Imagine we didn't have Lukaku this season, doesn't bear thinking about.

Please don't ever refer to him as this again or I will rain down blows upon your head.

Its brilliant you know so much that happens behind closed doors, are you sleeping with one of the players? Work for the coaching team?

I think you also need to check your facts on how much McGeady is being paid, because you're wrong by the way.

Not to nick-pick but it was actually Italy he went to as well ;)

And agree totally with you Mick.

I'm basing it off his recent batch of interviews where he literally indicates no desire at all to leave.

Obviously, he probably wouldn't be airing it in public anyway, but he clearly states how excited he is about next season in the premier league and how it is the place to be and how important first team football will be.

If anyone leaves this summer, which yes I imagine they will, it'll probably be Howard, Mirallas and Stones. Now i'd love Stones to stay, but if he leaves while it will be gutting at least I know that the club will only sell him at their valuation and no less.
