I said this to the ark fella today (who wants Martinez sacked). You can't say he hasn't spent well. Kone has been ropey, other than that they've all worked out. Most Kopites think 50% success rate on 20 million plus players is a great return.

It's odd you mention Moyes really. There are some parallels. I always thought Moyes built excellent squads on his budget but failed to get the best out of them. The same is true for Martinez really. He has built a brilliant squad who at present he is struggling to get the best out of.

He has spent more money than Moyes. But these things are relative. To the rest of the league we remain around half way in terms of money spent and wage bill.

Of all the things really anyway can say about either Moyes or Martinez, you can't say we don't spend money wisely. We obviously have a very strong scouting network who deserve a lot of credit!

It's an irrelevant point to make, our results have declined and we have no basis for any kind of consistency
 

Anyone give me a ink to what Barton said? Been out all day, gone through 10 pages cant find anything apart from people saying dont listen to him....etc

But it seems he didn't have a nice word to say, so Joey, Merson, Cundy on Talk Sport.
I am interested to know if there is anyone in the game who has a good word to say about Martinez?
Those who are currently on the Everton pay roll don't count as they have no choice, but even Nev was saying he was getting it wrong with regards to Howard, rather then toe the party line. So who actually likes him in the game? apart from Kone!!!
