Dissapointing result. West Brom put 11 men behind the ball and defended deep I think most teams in the league would've struggled to score against them in the 2nd half. Osman was a bewildering substitution but I thought the starting 11 was fine. The trouble is every game feels like a must win because of the position we are in.

Ironically west broms annoying tactics were pretty much what we played for years under moyes and we were fine with that.

The only bad thing from today was the subs, the team did everything we could have asked and kept at them. If two of the subs were attack minded rather than kone and osman then we may have forced the goals but overall, the team had 31 attempts!
Couldn't agree with you more. Happy he kept the same team that had won its two previous games in the league, but definitely needed to change things second half. The inclusion of Kone and osman weakened us, why was Lennon (our best player yet again) subbed?

The only things Martinez changes are his brown shoes.

Pulis sets up team of big grocks to defend in textbook 'rope a dope 101' manner. Martinez sets up team to give perfect 'dope' performance to let him do it.

It may come as an eye-wateringly painful kick in the nads to the perma-apologists on this forum, but Everton and West Brom are peers. This season, in head to heads, we're equal on points and the GD is 0. Only 3 points separate us on the table. Yes, we look better (for the neutral), but we're both crap in reality.

We're about twenty goals ahead of them in goal difference mate.
