He might do worse too? I don't think February is the time for such decisions. Our options are far more limited this time of year too. In the summer there will be more managers to choose from if we go that way.

Not everything has to be "give it to me now". There is still things to play for, nothing is written in stone.

How much worse can he do?

Get a new manager in and give him time with the squad before the summer to plan his transfer and pre-season strategy . Why wait to sign a new manager in the summer when most of the squad will be off at the Euros and he won't get to work with them and assess his squad until pre season is already started

Martinez has massively, massively underperformed with the squad he has available for almost two seasons. I don't think that can be argued against. If he doesn't in finish a europa spot/ top half minimal, he has to go.

A very admirable stance and one of a group who have become accustomed to being nothing in particular. Even though they have the tools to do so much better.

As for preparation, I'm sure a new manager would have plenty of time. Unless you've been in the game and know better? I feel like this forum has a lot of ex managers signed up lately.

I didn't change my mind though. I didn't call him to get the sack now. If he gets 7th with a Europa place that is good enough for me. And his position should be re-assessed in May.

It's quite funny really when you think we've got options all over the shop and Boberto does his best to ensure we look so unbalanced.
