Beer, revisited

I thought everything in the states had to be pasteurised and canned mate! ;)

A long time favourite. Rights to brew in UK were sold a few years ago, probably start as soon as a strong recovery starts, so I'll be looking elsewhere :)

I love Leffe. First time drinking it was ironically in Paris for some reason. Since then, I make it a point to drink it more often here at home in the States. Anyone in on the craft beer craze? Here in Miami, we have several independent craft beer breweries that are pretty awesome!

Been drinking Mixed Feelings from local brewer Great Raft. It's ok. A Brett Saison, apparently, but I'm unfamiliar with that style. I like my Belgians spicy, and this is a bit hoppy.

Have another bottle of Prairie in the fridge. Very excited about this when crack it open. They're pricy, but great brews.

Worked at a place called Two Brothers for a while (needless to say I'm super in). Although never buy any of their stuff (they don't distribute to you guys anyway but) they are horrible baby shaking owners. Don't know much about the Miami scene but Cigar City in Tampa does some great stuff. Happy :pint2:ing.

See Samuel Smiths all over the place but never tried it. Mrs Nigh had some of their cider recently and said it was fabulous.
I really like the ones I tried. The first was the Yorkshire Stingo which was top notch. Then I just bought a variety pack of the Oatmeal Stout, Chocolate Stout, and India Ale. All very well worth a try. So smooth.

There's no middle ground with Sam Smiths, you either love it or hate it. Even in Yorkshire where it's brewed it splits opinion. Try the range and see what you think ?

Will do. Just paid $10/£6 a bottle for Prairie (which is nice), but it's not like I've got no reason to sample their range. Why is it divisive?

Re: Prairie, I'd advise anyone who can get their hands on some to try it out, but suspect it's only available stateside. Bomb! is an American Double/Imperial Stout and BA gives it a 99. I'm no stout expert, but it's a very good beer.

It splits opinion as the beers have quite a unique taste which is the signature of Sam Smiths. Some people think it tastes like pond water, others, including myself really like it. I admire the fact that despite the polarisation of views they've never caved in a produced a generic bland beer.

Just about any IPA. Current favorite IPA would be Dogfish 120 minute IPA. Made in Milton, Delaware, USA. This will change within the next week. Probably tomorrow night lol. If I want something cheap then Miller Lite it is.

I'm proud to say, that as a San Diegan, the craft beer craze arguably started here (although Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle would all like to claim that as well). I live quite near Ballast Point, which just got bought for $1 billi(!), but still delivers an incredible product. Just heard myself that California has the most microbreweries of any state. @MiamiBlue what kind of California brews get distribution out in Miami?
