Leaving Goodison would cause an uproar and new owners know that. Plan for new stadium would no doubt be very exciting even to those who oppose the move atm. Both options are fine by me. I trust them who decide Goodisons fate to make the right decision and I'll back it fully.

When these new owners come infront of the cameras they know that first question will be about the stadium situation.
Cant wait to hear their answer.

Why would leaving Goodison cause an uproar? There was no uproar when the Kings Dock was on offer

Thats cos kings dock was a nice concept artist impression that looked pretty by the water so everyone jumped on board.
The reality will be a ground with a tesco metro or aldi stuck on the side

Arsenal make nearly £4m a home game through , tickets , corporate hospitality etc. We don't even make £1m I believe . On league games alone they bring in well over £50m a season more than us through the gate .

A new stadium does matter . It matters a lot .

I doubt the same level of demand is there for corporate seats. Do we even sell out boxes atm?

If the new owners have a solution for Goodison then fine. If the solution is a move away then fine.

Yes - great memories (and some dodgy ones) have been made at Goodison but new ones can be created anywhere.

Yes - Goodison is a key part in our history - but then so is Anfield - think I'd rather stick hot pins in my testicles than have anything to do with that place (cant quite get past the emotions attached with that one so next line may sound a bit hypocritical).

Cut away the emotional attachments to a field surrounded by infrastructure that is struggling to be fit for purpose and its clear that something needs to be done and whatever that option may be we simply have to embrace and support it if we are going to have any hope of moving forward.

The Grand Old lady has sadly had her day!

But you don't know that. Give them a chance. There isn't a Walmart on the side of the arena they built in San Diego

Proabably not - but to be fair, our corporate boxes just look like Portacabins shoved in the ground at some stage and give the impression that they offer warm Chang and Morrisons butties and deck chairs inside!

I could be swayed by a 'Kings Dock' quality stadium (and was back in 1999-2000 or whenever it was), but it would have to be something very special to get my vote to leave Goodison (that's if we even get a vote next time round!). If it's another Kirkby effort then I'd be opposing it before you could say 'clown with a cake'

Leaving Goodison wouldn't 'cause an uproar'.

We've been through this multiple times and each time the majority votes in favour of leaving.

There are a section of fans that would like to stay at Goodison if possible but most realise the limitations of the location.

It's not a hot button topic like the club badge was - a majority understand & support the case for a new stadium - as long as it is within the city boundaries.

I've spoken to a mate about this. He goes every week and to loads of aways and has categorically told me that if we leave Goodison he'll stop going.

It's that important.

That seems a bit daft, I don't understand that at all unless we did a Wimbledon to Milton Keynes type move.
