Roberto Martinez discussion

I honestly don't think I'd put them in right now n

That's the thing i fear most about Martinez, that he has a re set button that if pressed means he has to play certain players regardless of form.

Howard shouldn't be anywhere near automatic choice when he regains fitness.
Stones should have to sit on the bench and bide his time again, same as Baines.

Hopefully that will continue to be the case.

Just by playing Robles removes a lot of the fans tension and also the players tension at the back.

I'm not Bobbys biggest fan by any stretch but the last 7 days will do nicely thank you very much Boberto.

I would put Stones in, and gives Baines some time even if just as sub. Both Funes Mori and Stones have played the majority of the games this season. If Stones is fit, I'd be happy to see FM have a rest and see Stones/Jags in action again.

FM made 3 headless runs out of defense today and got caught on a couple. He has mostly been getting those right, so would be okay with him being rested next week.

3 consecutive clean sheets. No need to break it up

No need not to, either. I dont think the boss has been as panicy as some of the fans and will be thinking as black and white as some are here.

Stones is one of our best players who had some poor form in a time the team wasnt at its best. For me FM wasn't great today. A home game vs West Brom would be ideal to see Stones step out in a team that will now be more at ease at a Goodison Park a bit more at ease. FM gets rested.

Whilst we all want Howard kept out, I would have no issues at all if Baines and Stones played next week. Or Deulo came in for Lennon. It's good to see the squad can all play their part.

My personal opinion is that Jags and McCarthy are the key to the improvement along with Robles in nets, not the omission of Stones & Baines.

To be fair we had this last year. Two wins and all of a sudden everything was fine. Forgot about the previous 5 months.

Right now, beating stoke shows signs of improvement in the season considering the reverse game. If Roberto keeps the team together and we can win some more.over the coming weeks then perhaps in the at scenario then Martinez should still he here. A couple of good signings and a chance to reflect and kick on from this point with the attacking football then perhaps this false dawn will happen? We clearly are good enough.

I said a while back after the last mini revival that Roberto had the fate of the season in his hands, I said that if he had learnt his lessons we oculd still have a good season. Almost immediately though Howard was restored, a half fit Baines back in, Kone and Del on the wings and results nosedived again. His reaction in the next few games will determine for me if Martinez will ever learn. If Lennon Oviedo and Robles return to the bench and we go back to losing to dross at home I'm giving up.

I think Baines is slowly being taken out of the squad. Oviedo is doing very well, and Garbutt is due back next year- not to mention Galloway could do a job there defensively.

If Howard comes right back into the side, Martienz out. If not, Bobby truly has turned this team around.

Mori was one of the better players today, and is our highest rated defender this season, fact. Don't replace him with someone who's been up and down all season until a drop in form
