I said a while back after the last mini revival that Roberto had the fate of the season in his hands, I said that if he had learnt his lessons we oculd still have a good season. Almost immediately though Howard was restored, a half fit Baines back in, Kone and Del on the wings and results nosedived again. His reaction in the next few games will determine for me if Martinez will ever learn. If Lennon Oviedo and Robles return to the bench and we go back to losing to dross at home I'm giving up.

Great win. can only get better with Baines and Stones to come back into a less nervous and more confident team.

Good to see the squad stretched and step up.

No I think the quality of the squad is obvious. Martinez deserves credit for pulling it together. I don't think I have underrated him given the results over the last 18 months. He now has a brilliant opportunity though to really get the most out of this squad. If he can then good things are around the corner, if not then I will be deaf to any excuses about squad quality and why Spurs having a better keeper than us means were bottom half.

Tend to agree with Stones, his form was shot to pieces and its been a long season under the media glare already for him - and looks like it did take it out of him a bit eventually.

Baines i actually thought was playing well until being dropped, and although Oviedo has been playing really well this week - i still think Baines is much the better player - but then again theres always the thing about not changing a winning team i guess

For me we need to just enjoy tonight. @chicoazul just picked a beef with me and @bicycleheader gegged in. I'm now gonna have to deal with both whilst enjoying a fine win.
