He's bringing in a player (I hope) who will bring balance to the side. With that balance, we will see us toughen up defensively.
There is no denying that when Kone plays AND is on form, his hold up play takes pressure off the back 4 (being the 2 CBs and the 1 or 2 holding midfielders). We play kamikazee to an extent with the fullbacks and the attacking mindset and therefore we need the ball to stick up front.
Kone has hit a bit of poor form, and therefore when the ball doesnt stick we are left trying to fight against waves of attacks against the bigger, better teams.
If this lad comes in and is the upgrade of Kone and can take pressure off the back 4 AND Lukaku then i'd expect results to improve significantly.
