Photo showing just before Stones plays the pass and another just before the foul.

Look at the change in player positions in 4 seconds (a long time in professional sport)

Stones made a poor pass but a premier league keeper should have dealt with it.

It's like Ayew pressed the Tim Howard pause button while he legged it to the ball!

HAHAHAHAHA oh my god I've just seen the goals again. That second one is so embarrassing, how does that go in? The deflection doesn't even take it high over his head, he's just kneeling down the bad mess

The pass was a suicidal pass, no argument there. But I feel like all Howard had to do was move 2 yards towards the ball and boot it the hell off the pitch. Don't think he was really at fault for much today besides that.

buuuuuut that was a pretty big thing to be at fault for..

You see, Stones is getting absolute pelters...but the same problem has popped up for me that was there when he told the crowd to calm down against Spurs.

Martinez has told them to play out the back, to keep the ball, not to hoof it out. So on both occasions, why does the keeper or any other player show for him?

Howard is stuck in his 6 yard box. Sees Stones hasn't got a pass, hasn't hoofed it, and he's still stuck in that 6 yard box. He did the same against Spurs.

When the style of the team is there for them to carry out, the players should all do. Stones is just doing what he's told to do. All Howard has to do is show for the ball, step a yard or 2 for the pass, and kick it.

Not on the same page.

I just want to stress that even though Timmy is trying to send us all into an early grave and still picking up approx 45k+ a week, he doesn't pick himself.

It would be great if he was honest enough to hold his hands up and say he wasn't good enough but or his manager had a quiet word in his ear and say "TIM YOUR ABSOLUTELY GASH MATE AND IM DROPPING YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE WAAAAAAAAAAAY PAST IT".

But neither thing will happen.

I think his performances reflect the support he gets, sub standard. People actually want him to fail to prove a point.

I support the badge.
Mate, we're dorks on a message board. We ALL support the badge. Probably more than a lot. We fume because everyone knows we should be doing far better than we are.
