I truly wonder what Joel looks like in training. Can't be very good can it?
Robles probably plays like Gordon Banks with a cross of Big Nev - Peter Shilton - Degea - and still gets overlooked for Tim Coward - relate to me again where he was running off too when Chelsea scored their first very crucial goal to get them back in the game at 2-0 down was it
a- the burger bar?
b, to sign an autograph in the crowd?
or
c- he just bottled it as he missed both Jags, and Costa, and the ball in all one effort with costa able to walk the ball in!
The easiest goal Costa will score all season let's face it with Timmy - no communication with Jags, and bottled it yet again!
He is so slow off his line he makes good saves but does not command his box as per usual!

I bet Howard doesn't even train, bet he just sits in the changing room taking topless pictures of himself. Then when Martinez or Graeme Jones come inside to tell him to join in the session, he squares up to them and asks them if they know who he is

That's one moment summed up why he has to be replaced. 0-2 up at Chelsea and should have been more. Playing with real authority, and then a big Sunday league punt ends up with a walk in goal.

No wonder we lost our shape and left another in so quickly.

For all our interest in buying outfield players it is in goal where we are lacking. I want to see Robles given a chance, and if he isn'the capable then break the bank for a real top class keeper.

We could seriously threaten the top spots if we resolved this farcical position.

Or he sits in the dressing room with this playing -lol lets hope he heads of for the MLS sun as the song suggest!lol

I bet they are not even selfies. He will have full studio lighting and a crew to direct. His phone is busy chatting to politicians about how well he played in 2014 for his country.

He'll never accept sitting on the bench for a sustained period. For Joel to get games regularly Howard needs to be injured or sold. His ego wont allow it and he'll 100% kick up a fuss.

Thats why i reckon it hasnt happened (Joel getting a run)

Howard's Video Nasties gets bigger by the week. The thing is that he is not crap every week. He had a good game at City but to no one's surprise he screws up at Chelsea.

The third goal against Stoke, the needless penalty against Leicester, the near post Kolarov goal, the melt-down at the Emirates, the rush goalie nightmare at Chelsea, and so it goes on.

And RM's defence is that he adds experience. In the transfer market RM is a clever cookie yet he fails to see that Howard is costing his team loads of points. What is going on?

As much as I hate to agree with Paul Merson, he made the point a bit ago on Talksport that Arsenal's goalies have been costing them 8 points a season and now they have Cech who is saving them 8 points a season. Where would we be with 16 more points?

Exactly. United at home was a fine example of this. We were 2-0 down after an awful first half, came out second and put them under a bit of pressure, and De Gea was unbeatable, made 3 or 4 brilliant saves. United get one break, and Howard somehow manages to make himself even smaller in a one on one situation, and its game over. United havent been great this season, but they have a world class keeper, who has won them a lot of points on his own, or made interventions in narrow tight games, the kind of games we tend to be losing or drawing.

I find it astonishing that clubs still seem to overlook the goalkeeper. He is the most important player on the pitch. A world class keeper gives you a chance in any game.
Denmark won the Euros in 92 because Schmeichel was amazing.

Yet we are still happy to stick with a man who was deemed not good enough by Alex Ferguson a decade ago.

Howard has been a solid player for the most part, but never top class and these past 18 months are destroying anything positive he has done in previous years. :(
