Joel mops that Costa chance up and we win 2-0 today lads, im telling you.

His positioning for that goal is EMBARRASSING! Yes Jagielka made an error but he's back after two months out, he has to be closer to the incident incase something like that happens, he was that far away he had no chance of getting there first. He's an idiot, he's finished. The day he leaves will be the day i buy a season ticket.
Spot on mate.

So Joel saves that deflected goal?

He has never been any good in situations like that first goal. That's not an age thing, it's one of his weaknesses, along with crosses.

Good point, but when they got the first for which player was to blame the crowd sensed we were on the wobble, it's all ifs, and buts, and pots and pans - Tim makes good saves, but we conceded two , and a blatant offside goal that counted - doh!
If Robles had a run the forum and crowd would have an idea on why we conceded too many goals!

A good keeper should always anticipate that his defender's are going to cock - up, so his positioning should be ready for that, unfortunately Howard doesn't work like that.

That Costa goal doesnt go in we see the game out. They got that and their heads were up, the second goal was predictable.

unlikely deflected goal would have happened if the first goal didn't.

He would have saved the first, and the third.

All speculation of course. Not sure Joel saves that (as I remember it) deflected lob.

And saying he'd save the third I doubt it. Shouldn't have mattered anydamnway. We played Terry offside and it never should have mattered.

It's been the story of our season, but Robles has done enough to deserve a run in the team as we will never find out if he is a better keeper who settles our defence to win us games!

Joel wouldve simply caught that attempt of a lob

Save for divine intervention (or a sudden head-rush of logic to the ref's head), I don't think we could've done much else to be honest. I mean we did concede one more goal than we should've, because Jags and Howard decided to wrestle instead of hoofing the ball away, but I don't really blame any of the players for Terry's third goal - clear offside, not given, no nothing.
there where 3 challenges to be won before the ball hit the net, we lost them all, no blame !
