Low footy iq or just plain bias, can't tell which but it's so annoying. Praise a striker who is more dependent on good service to do well(let's see him make others around him better and do more on his own...you know kinda like Aguero does..well maybe in another universe), but ignore someone who makes others better, plays hard for full 90 minutes and would die on the pitch doing his job...stops Messi, Bale, Yaya, etc, and still isn't enough. My guess is these people have shitty lives and have to keep holding on to that one player they've liked from the beginning(because nothing else is going on so if they are wrong it's a total catastrophe) or they're just this dumb and can't see anything besides the 'Lukaku has 30 goals so he must be very good'. The way players play doesn't mean a thing to these people or the fact perfect setups need to happen for these guys to get goals(how many times i've seen a perfect cross to Lukaku where if you missed you'd have to feel pretty shitty about your game). Basically, there are players out there who need others' magic to keep playing well and won't do much without good playmakers.
What some haven't figured out about Mo is that for Everton to do well they need to have more balance in the midfield because they're way too prone to giving up so much space and opponents having an easier time getting chances. No great team will go anywhere far if defensively you can't do better and there aren't too many out there that are better than Besic. People can talk all they want with stuff like 'only 2 games so too early to tell'. There are quite a few on here who are fans because they're watched him for YEARS do this stuff. Few games before World Cup he dominated and then went to the World Cup and did it on the biggest stage.
Another issue is that even though I'm not that big on Barry playing(slow, weak defensively, etc), it's not a bad idea to have him because Lukaku won't be as effective without Barry's accurate crosses and passes(he really does have that going for him..not much else though).
