We do not need a new keeper its just Howard being awful.

Look at these stats.

(don't know when there from might be this season)

I don't know when they're from, either, but it's not this season. Joel has made 4 appearances this season and kept one clean sheet (conceding 1.2 goals per match). Howard has made 19 appearances and kept 5 clean sheets (conceding 1.5 goals per match).

EDIT: That looks like it was from last season, right when Howard was returning from injury.

@quasi modo i think Martinez is playing Kone/Mirallas as a support forward and allowing them to drift inside. This leaves a gap at LM/LW. The only one we see in a traditional left sided position is Cleverley when he plays there....but we have no actual traditional LW/LM player otherwise...at least in Martinez eyes.

@MoutsGoat we'll have to agree to disagree here then. I think our supposed "Fab Four" who people are so concerned about leaving would want to see top quality coming into the squad. I'd be disappointed with Marshall and yet despite what you may think id be very happy with the older Handanovic coming in as i think hes a top keeper.

I think also that with so many out of contract players Martinez will need to bring in quite a few meaning he needs to spread the transfer budget.

Im happy with Tarashaj signing if it comes off as its (on paper) competition in attacking midfield for Barkley for £3mil.

I know we are seriously looking at Dembele and it seems Byram as well. Both of their contracts expire in the summer but they would be costly still as both under 24 and so money to their clubs....

Tarashaj,Dembele,Byram all coming in would sort us out for 3 squad positions at AM,ST,RB and leave Martinez with a sizeable amount for the 3 first eleven players we need.

Man City have been reported by Bild to have offered 32 million POUNDS for Sane this week.

Kenwright doesn't have 32 pence.

It's never happening.
