Tarashaj - Never heard of him but i asked a friend in Switzerland and he says the guy is a "number 10" two footed, decent shot and the reason why Grasshoppers shot up the league this season. Thinks he will be taking Shaqiri's position soon with Shaqiri moved to the wing for the national side......can actually read most of this online now anyway so nothing ground breaking. The Swiss player i would like is Breel Embolo though I think Tarashaj will come in as competition for Barkley.

Federico Marchetti -- average keeper.
Marshall -- average keeper
Neither worth buying, we need QUALITY

Kamara -- Quoted in the press as being France u21 keeper but i think hes only played for their u19s and isnt 1st choice for them either....think this link is nonsense.

@davek Leroy Sane would be the equivilent of having Deulofeu on the LW position. Man City rumoured to be interested. I think for us it shows the value of Deulofeu for any bidders (£30mil+).

Interesting Martinez doesnt want to sell Naismith for 2 weeks with games coming up. Hes also keeping Mirallas "sweet" but i think just trying to talk up the price....

I always think its strange that we never have players leaving or signing on day 1 of the Jan Window. Id hope McGeady and McAleny would be out the door sharpish.

Dembele and Byram both out of contract in the summer, think we can fill a couple of squad positions where we are lacking with these two.
Should be no outs unless there's ins. It wouldn't tally with what RM said in the summer if he allows that to happen...or his oft stated claim that we will always leave a window stronger than we entered it. Now I'm no Naismith fan, but it's stretching a point to say that his departure strengthens us!

Have to say i disagree to a point.

In the "best squad in 25 years" thread i started ive listed 13 players of which most need shifting. Ignoring the players out of contract in the summer,Kone/Leandro and keepers, that leaves:

McAleny
McGeady
Naismith
Mirallas

To be honest, if ALL 4 of these left and we brought in a LW and a CF that would be fine...if the top 2 left with Naismith and one player came in id be fine with that.

Tarashaj fills the competition for barkley...we then need a LW and a CF to come in for the top 4 attacking slots to be complete.

Just what we need really...duel threat on the flanks...overpriced at the moment though.

Its really a position that we need to fill as right now we look like playing with 10 men with no LW.

I can't see Martinez playing with two wingers though to be honest

Er you do realize that Puyol is retired

No i didn't know that mate. However i wasn't specifically suggesting him or any of the other names i quoted. i meant someone like that in terms of experience at the very end of their careers who've maybe got 10 good games a season in them and a lot of organisational experience. it ain't gonna happen though i also appreciate that too.

Thats really mean + youve missed all my complimentary posts then....

Hand on heart would you think us signing Marshall would give a major boost to the squad? I mean of course it would be a step up from Howard but i doubt Stones or Lukaku would think "Wow".

Ive had Zat on ignore for ages, its time.

Well, im not sure either way. He signed Deulofeu and Lennon for the RW position and additionally wanted Yarmolenko...so would he have played Yarmolenko on the LW or if in AM then would drop Barkley back?

No idea myself....either way he simply MUST sign someone for the left. Its as much of a priority as GK for me.

We have Kone on the left....

I think they are both professional enough to look at the player and judge for themselves.

Unlike you.

Marshall is a cracking keeper, I know hes 30 and not ideal for you, but we could and currently could do a lot worse.
