Just looked him up, if it's the one I've seen he's a 19 year old keeper playing in Ligue 2. Seems like a completely useless signing for us.

I am thinking the same. With the inflation of prices for players in the January transfer market plus the FFP it makes no sense for a club to splash 40/50/60/70/80 mil in this window on 1 player or even several players unless they are looking to sell and recoup that money as well.

Not necessarily, goalkeepers can change levels reasonably well, Southall was playing in the 4th division when we signed him. The main issue would be language I imagine, even then he likely would go into the U21's first.

What about going for Thorgan brother of Eden Hazard on loan? We need a decent left-winger, he's a left winger, and I think he'd suit us brilliantly. He'd be better than the poor array of options we have now, at least.

Isn't he doing rather well at his current club?

I sound like I know my stuff there but really I only vaguely remember reading that somewhere. I can't even remember the club he's at.

..I guess he's useless. Funny how in the summer we were linked with a host of CBs, this time around it's forwards. The link with the Swiss youngster appears very strong so he could've been lined up for a while as Naismith's replacement. Be good to get that one done early but I've not seen any mention of a fee.
