It's pretty obvious what we need, someone to add a bit if bite and drive to our team, desire to close down everything and put his body on the line for the cause. A true dynamo of the modern game, a hero to the masses. Please step forward...

Mr Lee Cattermole
Mr missing suspended for how many games per season
We need someone more snide, less red carded

I'll say it very quietly, but I think Jonjo Shelvey would be a decent signing for us...very comfortable on the ball taking it off the back four and generating forward play....and with a point to prove to the RS.
Shawcross all day long if we want a grock at CH.

I think Shelvey is the nearest Liverpool have had to a young Gerard, but they let him go. Can pick a pass, can shoot, got a nasty side too. I would have him myself. The only downside is that we already have too many central players, which is why we squeeze them onto left wing too. Stones and Mori are too similar, both like to play the ball rather than smash it to row z, which is what we need sometimes.

basically did my answer for me. I am so glad he's not there, he is vastly superior to any of their £20m signings like henderson, allen and lallana.

I wouldn't want him here now though, we don't need him, we have a lot of good centre midfielders. Looking back he would have been great for £5m on ability, but our crowd wouldn't have warmed to him. Apparently he headbutted siggurdson in training a few weeks back, hence not starting much at the moment. My brother said he was training with his friend's local sunday league club, despite being "injured" according to swansea.

Shelvey gives me the creeps so it's a no from me

My major concern for the rest of the season is if we don't actually do anything about the defence. It's all well and good signing young strikers or top level midfielders or whatever else, but if we are still shipping goals so much then its just leading to nothing.

Hell i would want us to sign some decent experienced centre half to come in now, a winner with a mouth. At least if ROberto isnt telling us to defend, a experienced centre half can tell them instead and drag us through the mire.
