I'm inclined to agree. Sacking a manager at this stage could do far more harm than good and it's not as if we're in Chelsea's position.

However, he's had three years to sort it out and our defence is getting worse and worse, even with the "best prospect in the world" John Stones. Is it Mori? It was just as bad with Jagielka playing so we can't blame the Argentine. No, the defence is playing according to Martinez's instructions. That, and Howard needs to go. Now.

I don't believe I've once ever fully thought Martinez should be gone, but I'm damn close now.

Stones needs to be learning how to defend day in and day out on the training ground. Right now I'd go as far as saying Martinez is actually stifling his development.

Come on now mate. It's not exactly knee jerking. We've just shipped 4 at home to Stoke and won 6 games all season. It's not good enough given the players available to him. People have every right to question his job at this stage, he has been given enough time to sort things out.

He needs a mentor. Not Jagielka, he's too nice.

He needs someone who's scummy as possible. Someone who you could bottle and they'd just stare at you. Someone who kicks, shoves and shouts at the opposition the entire game just because it's fun to him.

To be fair to him and everyone here, Howard's always been a laughing stock of a keeper (for the last 3 or 4 seasons at least).
