It's 00.02 here and I'm deep into the boxing day single malt, but even now I can tell you're talking absolute tosh...or it could be we're both right AND wrong
merry christmas
Single malt can have its effects on reality, after I drink it I tell the wife I love her

Be careful

That was his get out of jail card right there. That game went according to the Everton script right until the last kick - blitz of a first 20 minutes, give away silly chances afterwards and fade badly in the last half hour.

So happy we got away with one today, but we need to get a grip on our game management.

Get away with bossing those Geordie biffs and then scoring a righteous winner.

Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Let's be honest we've learned little from the previous few games. We are a shambles defensively.

Not going to think about that for too long though, a last minute winner on boxing day and I'm happy enough to let our defensive lapses and those mystifying substitutions slip my mind for once.

Results are absolutely everything, get us winning games and this thread will turn to gushing praise no matter what style we do it in.

The more I see of us the more I think it's a good group of players without much tactical nous/awareness. As a team our defending is ridiculously poor, he's got to do something to address that in the immediate future or I don't think we'll finish in the top half of the table.

There are good aspects to our play, how much of that is down to the fact our players are just better than the opposition rather than any input given by the manager is definitely open to debate.
