Thought you were in a 3 year coma when you were 12??To follow up on this......My fave character was Ryu. We were on a school trip to France and we took the long 8 hour ferry to Brittany. We found a SF2 machine on the Ferry. Someone was already playing, but I stuck my money in and challenged him. He was already playing as Ryu, so I went with Ken.
Beat him, good style, then went onto single player mode. Before I knew it, I was fighting the bosses and a small crowd of other like minded kids had gathered. Managed to get to Bison, lose the first round, stomp him the second round, then rapidly start losing the third, but managed to pull it back and win with just a sliver of yellow.
It was the first time I had completed the game, and it was with Ken. Apparently it was the first time the crowd had seen it completed and the 'oooohhhhhssss' and 'aaaahhhhhhssss' at the end cut scene started pouring out. Was the best feeling ever (as a 12-13 year old).
Short version = I completed it for the first time, in front of a crowd, on a ferry ride to France.

A 3 year coma?
SF2 is still a brilliant game.
Got it on Xbox Live arcade........
I grew up with this game...feeding the arcade machine silver coins, then buying it on the Mega Drive along with two new 6 button controllers......those were the days.
Merry Christmas you bad nerds
