Roberto Martinez discussion

Too often recently.

We need to win a back to back game.

When was the last time that happened?

The manager keeps talking about consistency, so it's good he recognises it. Consistency usually comes with some experience, but there's a lot of that. Howard, Barry, Cleverley, McCarthy, Kone, Baines, Lennon etc...
3 draws is consistency, stop complaining

Yeah it "happens like". Week in week out.
There's this thing called football mate, not sure if you've heard of it or not.
One of the laws of football, and indeed life is that nothing is a sure thing.
Or more succintly put, "sh1t happens" .
We don't have a divine right to win every week.

There's a certain type of fan who thinks that but I shall not mention them in here again.

Something needs to happen, either he needs to work on the defence or he needs to step aside. Far too many draws which mean either a poor attack or poor defensive is cancelling out the strengths of the side, with moyes it was the former with Martinez it's the latter.

If we want top 6 he isn't the man to get it anymore unless he seriously improves the defence as right now his defensive organisation is not on the same level of manager as the likes of Pochettino and Klopp who are our rivals.

I think Jagielka's injury has cost us. I'm not sure the defence is confident in itself at all. Stones still needs an experienced player alongside him, which is understandable as he's very young.

3 points from the last 3 isn't good enough, but our potential is there for all to see. We could have had 6 or 7 today and with a stronger defence we'd be top 4 and looking like one of the favourites to make it. I think Jagielka coming back will see us improve a lot in that department.

As it stands, we're not out of the race for top 6/4 by any means. For all the points we've dropped, there are still bonus points to be won in January and we're more than capable of doing that. It's just a shame we've made it more difficult for ourselves that it had to be.
