The most ridiculous case of this tyoe was when Victoria Beckham tried unsuccessfully to force Peterborough United to stop using the word "Posh" on club merchandise after she had trademarked the term "Posh Spice".

*registers a small office in the district of Everton to sell items branded with 'Everton'*

As the 'Peoples Club' and with Snods being a son-of-Doncaster Everton representative - why not get him to visit, be seen buying some fruit and veg for a local charity/to take to an old folks home and get some positive publicity.
I'm sure the lady wouldn't say no to hanging a flag/scarf/framed shirt in the shop either ?

Make Everton Blue.

Coincidentally the same Blue/font as the football club use.

Then the icon can be one that resembles Everton tower. Not the same as the one the football club use mind.

Stick 'district' in tiny writing on the label of the shirt.

Jobs a good'un.

Can we trademark the word "Everton"? It's a place name. The RS can't trademark Liverpool, although they did pinch the Liver bird.

Terrible.

not like having the name everton somewhere outside of liverpool would increase awareness of the name?

We should be supporting things like that not sueing them, now we look like a tit of a club.
In fairness Ash you continually make daft statements like this and look like a tit of a poster but it doesn't stop you.
