Totally different. Chelsea made a bid and had it knocked back. They went public with it to try and force it through even using their club captain and Cahill to throw their twopence worth in. Everton don't behave like that

I'm not talking about the clubs, just the fans. The Chelsea fans thought " we will have Stones, we are bigger than Everton " which caused us to fume.
Now, we are saying the same thing about Butland and Stoke.
Stoke are an established Premier league team like us now. It could be considered a completely lateral move if Butland came here if we're honest.

We all know Stones will go sooner or later but the way Chelsea handled the whole thing stunk. Similar to the season before with Utd over Baines and Fellaini. Derogatory bid for the pair of them made public to unsettle. We ended up getting more for Fellaini than the combined original bid. I can't remember anyone complaining at Fellaini being taken. £28 mil was snatched from their hands
Mcgeady will have to go in January If wants to make the Irish squad for the euros. Possibly to championship to guarantee starts.
