I feel sorry for the new keeper next season, not only does he have to save everything. He also has to win the balls our defenders lose to the opposing team I'm the air at corners.

Most times even a reincarnated Neville Southall would be slagged off in this thread.
Conceding from the corner was poor all round last night but focusing on Howard for a moment I can't think of another keeper that allows so many goals to be scored in the centre of the goal from a corner or cross.
Conventionally if a keeper stays on his line he is giving an attacker two areas to score, near or far post. For corners there's someone on the near post so you would believe that most headed goals are scored when aimed at the back post yet given his inability to defend the centre of the goal the target area for attackers is much greater. I have no idea how you overcome this issue with Howard other than deny the attacker the opportunity to head the ball in the first place.
He wouldn't though mate, because Neville Southall is one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the sport
Tim Howard is a career 7.5 out of 10 keeper way past his prime and exceedingly complacent because he knows the manager will never drop him
Even Joe Hart got dropped at Man City after some bad performances
Howard needs to be dropped, if only to give him a boot up the backside
Palace were simply floating corners in!
Not whipping them in at great pace or drilling them at an awkward height
They new to simply get the ball in that 6 yard box on corners and they will score if they get on the end of one
I remember two corners before they scored tearing my hair out at him not coming for the other crosses!
Howard's not been playing badly to warrant getting dropped Mikey.
By the player who is the the biggest aerial threat they have, can't pin that on HowardHoward's not been playing badly to warrant getting dropped Mikey. You and a few others only want it to happen because you want a change and Robles has somehow gained a bit a credibility by keeping a clean sheet against a championship side.
Last night Howard was powerless to save a very good and powerful header from 5 yards out, it would have required the sort of save you may see De Gea make and then hear the commentators extolling his virtues for the remainder of the game and long afterwards. If you need a scapegoat look towards the defenders who yet again lost their man in the penalty area (for the umpteenth time this season alone) and allowed a free run and header.
Everytime the ball hits the net people look to blame Howard without engaging their brain and seeing the whole picture.

Yes he has

Of the 29 goalkeepers to make six or more starts in the Premier League, his save percentage ranked last of all.
Furthermore, Howard's save percentage inside the box dipped as low as 50.65 per cent; again, the lowest in his position and a ratio that meant, alarmingly, opponents were scoring from one in two shots on target inside the Toffees' area.
As well as struggling to repel opposing strikers, Howard also became uncharacteristically error-prone. His four mistakes leading directly to a goal was a tally only surpassed by two other goalkeepers and cost his side valuable points on each occasion.
Fast forward to Martinez's third season in charge, and while Everton have found better overall consistency, Howard's form remains a concern. His save percentage has been resurrected from the depths of last season but other aspects of his game, primarily how he deals with crosses, have regularly let him down. As the statistics show, only one other Premier League goalkeeper has been more unreliable when it comes to claiming crosses. Howard has either been caught coming for the ball and erring in the process, or stuck on his line when he needed to make a clearance
