Yes I think so, as long as he's prepared not to be a dead cert to start.I think if he passes a medical we should sign him, every team needs 4 CBs to account for injuries and rotation. He was a decent player before he got injured.
That's a good point but, on balance I'd still take him if he doesn't have knees made from blu-tak - Galloway may learn a lot from him.Having too many good players is rarely a bad thing. I wouldn't want it to stunt Galloway's development though.
that's my current thoughts, there aren't any (other than Jags) experienced central defenders at the Club at the moment. That's a good point but, on balance I'd still take him if he doesn't have knees made from blu-tak - Galloway may learn a lot from him.
And if his knees explode, he's free.that's my current thoughts, there aren't any (other than Jags) experienced central defenders at the Club at the moment.
just having one on each side should do wonders in training games and that can only improve the first team.
Was he?
i mean i know he played well in the WC but i heard no mention of him before that, as much as any other villa player anyway. Didn't watch them last season so did he have a good season in the poor defence? Genuine question like!
Fair enough, can't comment on what i haven't seen him do so i can't slag him off for anything hahaObviously I didn't watch him as much as I would if he played for us, from what I seen (Mainly MOTD or any Sky games I watched) he seemed to be a commanding CB. Was captain for them, went to the World Cup, was strongly linked with Utd.
I don't think it would be an Alcaraz / Distin for his last season scenario.
He'd be a good signing, for 1,5 seasons. No risk really.
Galloway could go out on loan until end of season.
