Computer games.

bar fallout taking the title my favourite game this year has been rocket league.

The game gets on my tits though it really does. three things that annoy me, getting best by lucky goals. you can absolute smash another tram and they get a lucky bounce from a kick off or it bounced in off the back of your car from miles away.

people who stay in goal at a kick off. Not once have I seen anyone save from the kickoff without moving. perhaps a one on one straight at them but not just not moving.

finally, perminant goalkeepers on 2v2. played a game last night and won 2-0. my team mate stayed in goal the whole.time so it may as well been a handicap.

best games so far:
witcher 3
Tales from the borderlands
life is strange
Soma

biggest letdowns:
mad max
star wars battlefront

How can Star Wars Battlefront be on the list of biggest letdowns when it isn't even out yet???? All you did was play the beta for crying out loud!

Talk about preconceived notions!!! Wait at least until it is out and you have played the finished product before calling it a let down!

That and Mad Max is boss. People just don't understand.

When playing FIFA online would hoofing the ball into your own net at every opportunity be a good way to create fume? Anyone fancy trying it out?

That was far from a beta - it was a hype demo.

As far as I am aware, it was a stress test for the servers. Granted they would have gained little from actual beta duties, as the majority of players were just there to play it for free and I doubt actually submitted any sort of feedback to improve the game, rather just bitch and moan about how it sucks in online forums.

I am not sure that people fully understand what alpha's, beta's and gamma's are actually for.

Only just started playing tales from the borderlands, finished chapter 2 of episode 1, so far so good, lot of comedy in there, will definitely enjoy this game

that is exactly what Destiny's beta was. Not a bug testing thing but mainly 'here is the game, see if you can break the servers'. Hence the reason it was opened up from pre order customers to everyone just to maximise how many people the could support.

The term has been totally misappropriated to mean a nearly finished version of the game which is released to build hype and possibly test any server issues. The Battlefront beta is not a beta.

Thus it is perfectly fair to label a game with that sort of 'beta' a disappointment.

Aside from that, i'd say charging £40 for four DLC before the game is even released is also more than enough to label it a disappointment.
