Groucho's Fact Hunt

wow... I remember when we could have a bit of fun on here Dylan

Stop being dramatic. There are many threads you can goof off in. Here we actually have some semblance of a sensible thread, that has by and large stayed right on topic. Until you come in with your Tim Howard barbs.

If we take your post in the context of this thread, which is a thread about cool, obscure facts, your post has no place, as it isn't factual and is your personal opinion (that it is shared by others is irrelevant, it is still an opinion).

Please go to the dedicated player thread that you want to discuss.....it's why we have them.

I apologise... it was a post made in jest though.

Sky Sports News stated this morning that last night was only the second time in twenty eight years we've managed to reach the quarter finals of The League Cup, truly appalling record by us !!

This is THE Gordon Bennett;

The Automobile Cup he initiated led to the Isle of Man being approached to lift maximum speed restrictions in order to run elimination trials in 1905.
This precedent gave rise to the Isle of Man TT which started 2 years later.
The Isle of Man still has no national speed limit.
