Averaging 1 good match in 5 is no form for a premier keeper not to mind a team supposedly challenging for a top 6 place. Get rid. Has turned into a coward when challanging for crosses and hight balls. A flapping coward.

Find it hard to dislike Howard, been great for us over the years but he's really becoming apparent when he makes mistakes - obviously yesterday our defence could have done better, but if you watch Howard you just know it's going in anyway - flap

He's a clown. We should have got a keeper last season when Martinez said he was looking for one. Both him and Robles are not good enough.

For me this will make or break Roberto. All the positives that Roberto does have will continue to be undermined by his choice of goalkeeper. If he sorts this in the next two windows I'll have faith that he is learning and we can improve under him. Last season he had major problems right through the spine of the team. Goalkeeper, centreback, creative midfielder, number 10 and a backup striker. He even identified these positions himself as in need of new signings. He addressed one of them (very well I might add) with Funes Mori. The board probably let him down on Yarmolenko. But there was no effort made to replace Howard, add creativity to midfield or get a good backup striker in. If Roberto continues to play Howard past this season then he will not improve us as simple as that. If he cannot see this humongous glaring weakness then his effectiveness as a top level football manager will rightly be called into question. Look at Wenger with Cech, LVGs stance on De Gea, Mourinho chopping Cech for Courtois and splashing on Begovic, City dumping Given for Hart, Spurs getting Vorm as a backup. Top managers and big clubs do not chance on their goalkeeper. They pay good money and buy and retain proven quality. We will gladly pay 15 mill for a number 10 who will probably get rotated or played out of position yet we caulk at anything above 5 mill for a proven goalkeeper. There's loads out there who would jump at the chance of being first choice every week for Everton. Get it sorted Martinez.

Not a bad idea, actually. At least at lower-league level be interesting to see some make the switch.

Yes, you couldn't actually dislike him.

But as it stands he has become a liability.

This is it, innit

He seemed to duck below the ball for the first goal when if he had made himself bigger or even did his trademark starjump the ball would surely have bounced back off him.

The more I look at that goal the more exasperated I become.
